the next friday ~
knock knock
I heard as I took the shortbread out from the oven and pulled off mums lavender shaded mitts.
I opened the door to find mum's best friend Liz, who always arrived early with copies of brand new books piled in her hands and a huge, cheesy grin plastered over her face. But today she had a tall, dark haired boy behind her - and he looked around my age.
and before I could say hello, mum was already giving hugs and taking the heavy books from her and heaving them over to the coffee table.
'Daniel, how lovely to see you again!' she smiled, ruffling my hair
'this is my son, Phillip -'
'Phil' he mumbled, interrupting his mother.
'Alright sweetie, anyway, do you mind if he stays here with you whilst me, your mum and the rest of the club hang, y'know?' she asked, trying to sound cool.
I could see phil physically cringe behind his mum, I giggled as Liz turned and left a large, red lipstick stain on phil's cheek which only made me giggle even harder.
'sure, why not' I responded through giggling but still thinking it was rude to reject a favour. phil smiled and stepped inside, he was extremely cute.
he stood there with his hands in his pockets and his dark fringe slightly covering one eye. he wore a green and blue checkered shirt that fit him well. he was pale but had stunning blue pools in his eyes. I just couldn't help myself from staring at the gorgeous boy.
'so, what should we do?' phil spoke, snapping me out of my daydream state.
his voice was just as cute as I imagined.
'uhm, we could go and play some video games in my room if you want?' I offered, trying my best not to stutter or stare.
I could see an almost instant grin appear on phil's face as he nodded enthusiastically.
'alright then, that's settled for the next few hours' I giggled
'great!' phil happily replied, following me down the corridor.
