*Six Months Earlier*
I walked into the school grounds, my arm linked between Taylor's. Her feet moved at a slower pace then mine. Today I moved into her class, I hated my own so I switched. I was previously taking Spanish but I couldn't keep up.
I moved into her music class which was at the end of the day. Our classes rotated everyday.
Taylor's hair was down, strands of her black hair brushed across my pink cheek. We sat down on a bench with a few other friends. Leo, Cody, Kaitlin and Brock.
Kaitlin and Brock were a couple, they spent most of their times together. It was rare that they were apart.
"Hi" Taylor greeted them cheerfully. I smiled politely next to her. They greeted us warmly as we sat down. The bell was due to go in 10 minutes.
We waited around, talking to one another until the bell rang. The familiar sounds chimed around the open area.
"Meet me at lunch" I shouted walking away. My voice floated in the air as I turned around walking to my first class.
My feet dragged along the concrete as I turned the corner, my class came into view. The tall white building stood in the distance. The blue doors wide open revealing the entrance to the room.
"Aria, Wait up!" Megan yelled out to me. Her long slinky legs boosted towards me.
Megan was my friend from my core classes such as math, English, science and Pe. She stumbled to my side as I reached the bottom of the stairs. We walked into class together.
The smell of paper and sweat consumed me. We took a seat at the back of the class, the chairs barely holding our weight.
The teacher, Mr Dymond, waddled in. His grey hair spiked upwards and wrinkled skin greasy.

By the time lunch came around I was ready to go home. Unfortunately I can't because of the law and stuff. Taylor ran up to me, her hair bouncing around her shoulders and her chubby cheeks red.
"You took so long" she exclaimed hitting my shoulder. I hate when she does that. I laughed lightly as we walked around. We often just wander around the school at lunches.
"Leo has a crush on someone else now" She complained. She's always liked him. I tightened my lose coffee brown pony tail, a few strands hung around my face.
"Again?" I replied. In all honesty his love life didn't faze me but because Taylor liked him I tried to seem interested.
"So what's music like?" I asked intertwining my arm with hers. Her shoes thumped against the wooden deck.
"It's okay, the teacher talks a lot and he thinks he's funny when he's not" She informed me. I nodded my head listening. Her voice is really girly, it amazes me.
My hair swung side to side like it does in those cliche teen movies. My black uniform skirt reached just above knees. The horrific light green shirt was incredibly thin. My black socks reached half way up my shin.
We dawdled around the area till the bell rung once again. As soon as the loud sound echoed around the space we walked to music class. We all waited outside for the teacher.
Me and Taylor listened to the music ignoring everyone else. The teacher walked out of the class informing us to come inside. Before entering he pulled me aside letting everyone else go in.
"Meet me inside" Taylor whispered leaving me.
Mr Randle, The teacher spoke to me about getting me a book before ushering me inside. "Class this is our new student who will be joining us for the remainder of this semester. Would you like to introduce yourself?" He spoke loudly.
I hated this part.
"Umm I'm Aria" I quickly spoke keeping my eyes locked with Taylor. "Do you know anyone here?" Mr Randle asked. I nodded my head as he told me to take a seat.
That's when I saw him. His blue eyes caught mine for a brief second. He sat behind Taylor. I pulled out a chair next to her. Next to him sat Jack. Him and Taylor were chatting so I turned my seat to face him.
"Your hair is blue" I pointed out. Last time I saw Jack his hair was ginger. "Yeah" he replied.
The teacher began to talk to the class. I could hear Jack making smart comments every once in awhile.
I turned to Jack and told him to "shut up" catching a glimpse of the boy sitting next to him. His dirty blonde hair flopped on top of his head. I positioned myself back to the front taking notes.
I didn't speak to him that day. By the time the bell rang I didn't get the chance.
