Me, Myself, and My Mate

OH-NO

I walk down the sidewalk, humming to the song Oh-No by Marina and the diamonds. The song really is describing what my personality is like. No friends, relationships at that. But of course I'm a werewolf so I'm destined to have a mate. Oh, what joy will that bring exactly? I really ask myself that everyday practically. I inwardly sigh. Why u do this to me, o great moon goddess, why?
Stop complaining  you big baby. My wolf, shadow says.

Okay, okay I'll stop, Shadow.

I feel her presence slip away. I love my wolf with all my heart, but sometimes she acts like a second mother to me.

"I'm back bitches" I yell across the living room in the pack house.

"Sydney Ashlyn Cape, do not swear in my house, you feel me young lady?" My mom, the luna,
Yells back at me.

"I can swear all I want, mom, I'm 18."

"Ella, honey, honey can you come into my office for a minute? You too Sydney." My dad, the alpha of the ShadowHeart pack, calls us into the pack meeting room.
I start walking towards the meeting room when I smell something very, I mean VERY, heavenly. It smells like old spice, leather, and......spearmint. What is that??

I sniff the air again and ask my mom,
"Hey mom, do you smell that?"
"Smell what?" she replies.
"How do you not smell that are you nose blind?" I ask my mom.
"Sweetie, I don't know what you're talking about, I don't smell anything." She says.

Hmmm, something is not right with me, oh well.

I walk into the meeting room and I am hit with same smell but even strong this time. I look around and I see my dad and a handsome looking guy.
"Sydney, this is Alpha Evans. We are making a alliance with his pack. He is our neighboring pack, Evergreen." My dad says.

I look at Alpha Evans and stare into his eyes, such beautiful eyes. And at that very moment Alpha Evans says "Mate"
