In a tall brick building, the halls were silent. Classes were hard at work. In class 3.2, Stella James was sitting at the back of the classroom in a daydream and looking out of the tall arched window that sat next to her out of the window was a dark forest that nobody went near. It was rumoured that people have gone missing in there. Stella watched a bird fly into a tree, then only seconds later flow straight back out. Her blue eyes were focused on that little bird. Her blonde hair shined in the sun light as it was a very bright day.

"Stella," Mrs Jones, the English teacher began to ask, "What is the writer trying to explain in that sentence."

Stella did not answer. She was still staring out of the window.

"STELLA!" Mrs Jones screamed. The whole class jumped out of their seats and faced Mrs Jones. Stella looked around the room for help. Nobody turned to look at her.

"Can you repeat the question? Please," Stella asked.

"What did the writer ...?" Mrs Jones said as the school bell went dead on 3.30pm. Everyone got out seats and walked out on the classroom. Stella grabbed her stuff and ran out.

"STELLA! WAIT!" yelled a voice from behind. Stella turned around thinking it was Mrs Jones, but instead she saw her two best friends Alex Haightly and Christina Tucker.

"I forgot you guys were coming round to mine," Stella said to them as they walked to the main door of the school.

They walked down the hall and out of the old brick school and down the street to Stella's house. As they got closer, the three girls came across a very large house made of white stone, that glittered in the bright sun. Stella led the way up the driveway that lead around the corner of the house. When the back door was in sight, they ran through it and into stella's bedroom.

They got changed out of their uniform, and as fast as they came in, they went out. Alex, Chris and Stella went over to the white stone stables that were home to five horses; Starlight, Lily, Morgan, Akasha and Thunder. Alex got a saddle for Akasha, the beautiful appaloosa horse. Chris got Starlights Saddle. She was a black and white Irish cob. Stella went into the stable and walked over to the largest saddle in the tack room, which belonged to her black friesian stallion, Thunder. They walked with the saddles in their hands into the stables and put them on the horse.

The girls mounted the horses and galloped off into the woods.

They kept riding till they came across a arch way made if branches and twigs with roses around the top. Stella got off of her horse to have a look and see what on earth it was. she walked up slowly and watched it like an eagal, watching it's pray. stella reached out to put her arm through the arch way and ... nothing, it was just arch way in the forest.

Stella went back over to her horse and got back on. They decided to go under the arch way and then carried on galloping through the woods. Alex was now at the front and was leading the other two girls, moments later they came across a track that was not there before. So the girls turned and walked on horseback down this mysterious path. Another rider came galloped past they. He looked like he was wearing clothes that knights wore in the medieval times. He had a sword that was strapped to the saddle, which also looked like it was from the medieval period. The three girls looked at each other and decided to follow the medieval man.

After hours of riding the came to a hill side that stood above a castle that sat snug in the valley. The man was just in sight, he rode into the castle walls and then out of view. Stella, Alex and Chris walked still on horseback down to the town. They rode up the town main street, where lots of people in medieval clothes were trading food and fabrics, then up to the castle walls. Everyone turned and looked at the three girls on horseback and watched them going up to the castle.
