I decide I should trust this man. I trail behind him not to far behind I can hear the sounds of the cops' German shepherds just waiting to attack me. We rush down the stairs and out the main doors. We sprint until we are about a mile away from the school good thing I joined cross country at my last school or I wouldn't be able to run this much. We stop at the mini Mart to figure out where we are going next. " Well I think you made the correct choice Siri" I was about to correct him on my real name but he still doesn't have my full trust. "I'm Hunter Singleton and I am the supervisor of the S.A.S. Special Ability Society, and we are 14 unique individuals who, like you, have a special power. We live in The Cave, up in that mountain it's not actually a cave but yah..... so back on topic if you come live with us we will protect you and you will protect us, we are like a big family. If you were to choose to come with us you will have to leave your family behind. I have already talked to your father and he said if it's in your best interest then he is trusting us to have you. The question is though will you trust us?" The first the thing that comes to my mind is how in the world did he talk to my father and when? But I shoo that aside and start thinking about things that really matter. Should I trust this man? Should I leave my family behind to live in some mountain called "the cave" what kind of idiot calls a mountain a cave if it isn't really a cave? I finally come up with a decision hopefully the right one "yes" I say trying to sound strong but end up sounding weak and vulnerable like a baby sheep. " Great he said let's go up and introduce you to the family!"
We start hiking the mountain it's about two maybe three miles until we reach the top. When we get to the top the view is breath taking. The trees and the smell of pine and rain from the recent down pour we had last night made the whole thing seem like a dream. "Well here we are!" The words snap me back into reality. He lifts up the part of some tree and presses a black button about the size of an oreo. About 10 feet away a whole in the side of a rock opens and we walk through it. The "family" gathers around trying to see what's going on. Again feeling like the new girl is not a new feeling for me, to have everyone staring and murmuring to each other. "Everyone quite down! We have a new member! Her name is Siri and she has telekinesis. She is the final person to make us complete!" Everyone cheers and hoots in celebratory noises. "Everyone go to the gym room so Siri can make her rounds and meet all of you" I am looking around at all of the people that are the same as me, finally knowing that I wasn't the only one was surreal. I lock eyes with this one boy he looks my age he's a little shorter than me but it's kinda hard to be taller than a girl who is 5'8" at only the age of 13. His perfect blonde hair and his athletically built body was just amazing I could feel the butterflies migrating from the south and settling right in my stomach. He smiled at me. Oh man his smile was beautiful. Everyone went to the gym and I watched as he walked away. Apparently Hunter noticed that I was watching him and he whispered to me "he is telekinetic too, he's your partner and room mate." I could feel my face get red as he said that. I made my way to the gym room and I found him I walked over. I needed to start with him, I just had too. "Hi I'm Kyler."
