Lightningcatch dodged the hooves, the missiles shooting down like thunder and lightning. The savage lead mare began to rear, but still crushed with two hooves, known as the Snake Tactic. Lightningcatch leaped on a leg, running up the white weapon and jumping off the lead mare's back, landing into the welcoming branches of an asper tree. The rain relaxed, the moon finally showing it's face.

Lightningcatch bristled. How long was I gone? Lunging towards the direction of camp, Lightningcatch fell down into a splash of mud. "Ugh.." Lightningcatch struggled to pull her legs out, but the mud sucked her lower. "NO!" She forced her back legs out, hissing. "Stupid mud...." Lightningcatch muttered, and traveled by moonlight back to camp.

Minnowpaw tapped Lightningcatch on the shoulder. Squeaking, Lightningcatch bristled and her eyes flashed open. "What is it, Minnowpaw? And why are you in the warriors den??" Minnowpaw laughed, her chuckle sweet yet humored. "You are in the apprentices den! And Rainstar's calling a meeting!" Lightningcatch jumped away from the den, sand gritty and painful against her skin.

Rainstar was standing strong on the Sky Claw, Emptyeyes on a lower rock next to him. Cats from all over the dens, even the kits and the queens, were gathered beneath their leader's protective gaze. Lightningcatch looked up at Rainstar, realizing how serious and stressed he was. Dark circles were underneath his eyes, his fur was bristled and unkempt, his tail lashing angrily.

"Everycat, we are starting a battle training seminar. I will have the she-cats on a team against the toms, and the elders and queen will practice. The kits will practice battle tactics that the apprentices will show them after practicing." Rainstar yowled, his eyes aflame with anger and spirit. But cats below him were confused, looking at him like he was an alien.

A jolt of pain flashed through Lightningcatch, the yellow she-cat falling down, crumpling to earth. Her pelt bristled, her mind making her see something differently. When she looked up, Rainstar was standing in front of everycat. Dark shapes moved in flashes around the edges of the gorge, small red eyes dark and foreboding. A cyan cat emerged from them, his pelt blazing with white fire. Black stripes were across his pelt, and his beady turquiose eyes were filled with hatred. The black shapes flooded down, circling her clan, slashing them and slaying them.

Lightningcatch shivered, and then she came back to normal life. W-What was that? Lightningcatch moaned, her mother wrapping around her and grooming her. Lightningcatch looked around. The camp was deserted besides Robinmask and Ashface beginning an intense spar. "Lightningcatch, dearie, go and join the battle patrol." Deerwasp purred, licking her forehead. Lightningcatch purred back, her eyes filled with care. "Thank you, mama."

After a couple of surprise attacks from brambles, a thorn-scarred Lightningcatch emerged into the clearing. Bluesplash leaped over, holding a pinecone. The toms were flooding behind her, but Duskfade and some others slowed most of them down. Lightningcatch tackled Quickpaw, who was on Bluesplash's haunches. The she-cat was nearing her team's side. Woodpaw dashed past Milkrose, holding a large leaf that came from the she-cat side.

Lightningcatch batted Quickpaw, then went on a pursuit after Woodpaw. The tabby she-cat swatted his muzzle, her golden-yellow coat hitting his brown one, her black markings bristling viciously. The young apprentice gasped in pain, for Lightningcatch's claws had escpaed sealment a little. Lightningcatch picked up the large leaf, tangy and fuzzy on her delicate taste buds. She dropped it of her team's side, suddenly joining in the yowl of victory as Bluesplash brushed her shockingly navy blue coat up against her.

Lightningcatch finished her yowl, but one thing bugged her. Why is Rainstar so stressed? Why did I have that vision? Everything is going crazy! Who was that cyan cat?? Did I see the future? The thoughts swam around her mind, making her brain scream at her to slow down. "Peace, young one." The words echoed in Lightningcatch's head. She spotted the same white she-cat named Snowfur walk up to the warrior. "Snowfur? Why are you here?" Lightningcatch said worriedly. "You have a great destiny ahead of you. When it is most needed, an inner power of yours will come to life. Be strong until our next meeting, dear Lightningcatch." Snowfur vanished into starry bits.

Lightningcatch cried out, her eyes filled with confusion and fear. "Wait!" Lightningcatch sat in the middle of the sunlight. Did anybody see that? But all of the cats were chatting away, starting to head back to camp. Lightningcatch followed the others, finally relaxing. I'm going to have a big talk with Rainstar. She continued and escaped into his den. When he turned his head, he looked so much better. "Rainstar! You don't look stressed or upset anymore!" Lightningcatch mewed shockingly.

"Yes! I feel great. Tell everycat that we won't need anymore training seminars. I didn't know why I set it up in the first place!" Rainstar laughed, his eyes bright and fur smooth. The den was polished like crystal, shimmering ores like stars. "I will. And the den looks amazing!!" Lightningcatch stared around in wonder at how clean and shocking the den looked. It was a marvelous and captivating sight to see. Her paws were placed delicately on the shiny earth, the river mumbling and bubbling echoing in her soft ears.

But then Lightningcatch remembered why she came. An image of delicate Snowfur and little Mosskit appeared in her mind, and the warrior turned to her leader. "Rainstar. We're going to have to move the clan." Came her dark, serious tone. Rainstar shivered. "No." The golden tabby backed up a bit. "Please, Rainstar, listen to me. I had a vision-" Her leader bounced up next to her. "My clan is not in danger of your silly hallucinations!" He snarled.

Lightningcatch backed up, lashing her tail. Her haunches rose to protect herself. "Please, Ra-" The tom cuffed her ears. "Don't you go selling lies of this "vision", or I'll make sure you won't see any of your clanmates again!" He swiped the she-cat's face, blood dripping from the slash on her nosebridge.

Lightningcatch ran out of the den faster than a scared rabbit. Our leader has gone mad!
