After Blake had gone over the terms of my capture he had left the room leaving me to my thoughts. For what seemed like hours I just laid there, too stunned and petrified to even think. Instead I'd started imagining my parents, both probably not even aware that I hadn't come home. How long before people start looking for me?

Snap out of it! If I wanted to escape I'd have to stop thinking about whether or not I'd be rescued and figure out how to rescue myself. I'd never been a big fan of fairytales, where the prince saves the princess and they live happily ever after, even as a kid it seemed chauvinistic. I remember making up new stories of how the princess saves herself and the prince is left planning a rescue mission for an empty castle. God how I needed one of those plans right now.

A beep sounded in the room making me jump and shiver in fear. After a few seconds of silence I looked around the barren room. There was a small flashing red light in one of the corners. A camera. The sick fuck was video taping this? No that doesn't seem right, maybe a security camera? That makes sense, that's probably how he knew I was awake. So escaping may prove more challenging than I thought. Okay what else? Focusing on every detail I could make out, I scanned the room again. There was a spider web in the bottom corner of the room, below the camera which still blinked it's red light furiously. Beside that was.. A door? I hadn't noticed before, the door didn't have a knob only a small latch, and without that it would've just blended right into the wall.

Where would it lead to? The door that Blake came in through was on the wall adjacent to the bed. Fear crept into my mind and I suddenly didn't want to know. I wish I had just played along in school, god I was such an idiot.

My smart mouth has gotten me in trouble many times before but I never could have guessed it would get me here. I'd become accustomed to the usual glares and solitude, the occasional black eye or fat lip if I hadn't been quick enough. But this? This was beyond rational comprehension, this was the workings of a mad man!

Okay get back to the rescue mission. I pushed the thoughts to the back of my mind for now as I examined the chains. My wrists had been individually bound in wire that was then lached onto two chains leading to the bed posts. How long had I been unconscious? Forget that I thought as I examined the chains at my feet. The chain this time was only wrapped around each ankle giving me the hope that I could squeeze out of them.

I tug at the chains on my wrists to draw attention away from my feet as I wiggle my ankle to lessen its grip. And it works! I'd need to devise a plan first so I leave the chain in place.

My adrenaline starts to crash causing the pain in my wrists to sharpen and my body to become heavy again. I guess my planning starts tomorrow I think as I'm over come with exhaustion.

My eyes slip closed without my knowledge and soon I drift into unconsciousness.
