Chapter 19 ~ Did That Just Happen?

**Harry's POV**

"Psst, Harry," a voice whispered in my ear, causing my eyes to flutter open.

The first thing I noticed was that Louis was cuddled into my side with his head resting on top of mine while his arm was wrapped around my shoulders. It was nice and warm, and even though I hated to admit it, I kind of enjoyed it.

It wasn't until then I noticed that mom was standing in front of us, a confused look written on her features. She was the one who had called my name. "Yeah?" I mumbled, not wanting to move in case Louis would wake up.

"Who's this?" Mom whispered-shouted, nodding towards Louis.

I bit my lip, trying to avoid her gaze. When she noticed I wasn't going to reply anytime soon, she continued, "He doesn't look like the type of guy you would usually hang out with."

Now that made me frown. Who did she think she was, practically telling me that Louis was someone I shouldn't hang out with? I could hang out with whoever I wanted without her permission.

Let me explain this to you. I didn't like my family very much. They were never at home and therefore didn't know anything about my life. When all three of us happened to be in the house we never spent time together. I was usually up in my room, listening to music or watching TV while mum and Robin occupied themselves with paperwork and stuff like that. They never spent time with me, and that was why I hated that mom was standing here right now, telling me what friends I should hang out with. It was my choice, not hers or anyone else's.

"Mom, there's nothing wrong with him. He's truly a nice guy," I smiled, thinking about the evening we had spent together yesterday. I would love to do that again.

However, after a while, everything suddenly hit me. Louis was here, on a weekday, in my house, in the middle of the night. Shit, did we fall asleep?

Mom didn't look satisfied with my answer, but I couldn't care any less about that right now. "What time is it?" I asked, rubbing the sleep out of my eyes carefully not to wake Louis up.

Although it was night and he was here, I didn't want to wake him. He deserved a good night's sleep, even though we would have a lot of talking to do in the morning.

"It's three am, son."

My mouth formed into an 'o', and I turned my head to look at the sleeping Louis beside me on the couch. He looked so peaceful and dared I say cute? However, there was no way I was going to interrupt his sleep right now.

"Is it okay if Louis stays the rest of the night?" I asked although I wouldn't take no for an answer.

She furrowed her eyebrows together, looking down at the sleeping Louis. "I would rather not have him here, but I guess since it's already three in the morning, I'll let him stay."

I shook my head, avoiding her gaze. "You're unbelievable, mom."

She pressed her lips into a tight line, and before I knew it, she had spun on her heel and walked away like a stubborn girl. I rolled my eyes after her, snuggling closer to Louis, which made him let out a satisfied sigh.

With a wide smile on my lips, I slowly drifted off to sleep again.

-----

I woke up the next time due to the sun shining through the living room windows. I groaned, trying to move in my seat, but I soon realized that was impossible because Louis was still resting his head on top of mine. I turned my face slightly to the left and saw him stirring in his sleep.
