Chapter 1:Back to School

Ashley's P.O.V

Well hello.The name's Ashley, Ashley Smith.I'm a 16 year old girl who lives in the small town of Lake Monro, I go to the town school Lake Monro high.I'm an only child unfortunately and the only close family I have are my mom and dad...relatives don't visit much and they live very far away from us and well I am the school nerd so I've never really had friends or just one,no friends, zilch,zero friends.Yep that is pretty much there is to know about me.

So as I'm sleeping as peaceful as a baby,there was a loud knock on my door,"Honey wake up, you gonna be late for school!!"my mom shouted. Ahhgg mom! Wait school?Oh my God!!!I totally forgot, summer was over and it was back to hell.I quickly got up making my way to the bathroom,"I'm up mom,going to get ready!!"I shouted back to mommy dearest and entered the bathroom, I washed my face, brushed my teeth and took a shower.After a 15 minute shower I got out and headed back to the bedroom. I picked out my black and white 'I 💜 1D' t-shirt and a pair of black jeans before drying my hair and body up and applying some lotion. I hurriedly got dressed and yes I'm a Directioner and I'm also a Beileber.I put my dirty blonde hair in a messy bun and made my way downstairs only to find my mom making.....Pancakes!!!! My favorite!As I walked down my mom turned her head towards me and smiled slightly,"Your father called,he said he's fine."Mom said,I grinned wildly at her words, I had been waiting for a call from dad since last week when he had left.You see he's a very hardworking businessman and he cares a lot about his family so he always wants to provide."That's good,did he say anything else?"I asked mom and her smile faded slightly,"He asked about your wellbeing honey."and at this I forced a smile"I'm fine mom really."I glanced at the clock on the kitchen wall and heard the horn of the school bus,I grabbed an apple and gave mom a quick hug,"Bye mom,love you."And I made my way out of the house,"Bye sweetie."mom shouted and I smiled jogging towards the bus.As the school nerd people never really paid much attention to me so when I entered the bus nobody noticed,they all were engrossed in their own conversations,probably talking about what had happened during summer.Well that is until a boy decided to speak or should I say shout"hey look it's the nerd!!"all eyes snapped in my direction and the pupils burst out into laughter, even the bus driver was laughing. I felt my eyes fill with tears and I was on the verge of crying but then I remember a promise I had made to myself.Never cry no matter what.And with that on my mind I blinked away the tears and made my way mid way in the bus and took a seat as the bus drove of whilst the laughter of the pupils and the bus driver slowly calmed.God why do we have to go back to school.I hate taking the bus.As we made our way to school I remembered something I had forgotten and my face filled with sadness.
I forgot my pancakes! Ohhh how I love school.Note the sarcasm.
