Cold, it's so cold...everything is so cold. Stupid winter...
"Maybe it's time..." I closed my eyes expecting death as I felt the chilled winds hit my cheeks like hale.
"Oi, mom there's a girl over here!" Is all I heard, I couldn't open my eyes, the ice on my eyelashes froze together, but all I felt was warmth.
"Poor kid, must be homeless," I felt my hair swooped back and a woman's voice, "Lindo, get the blanket from the car."
All I heard was running footsteps then a few moments later something over me, "mom, can we bring her home?"
"Sure Lindo," the woman spoke and my eyelashes thawed so I opened them looking at the voices.
I recognized the boy, he was from the school that I slept in front of and helped the bullies stay away. I've never thanked him or even acknowledged him, I was surprised that he never let the bullies get me.
"Let's get home," I'm guessing his mom spoke and stood up taking me to the car. She sat in front driver's seat and Lindo in the back with me.
"I never learned your name," he smiled at me as I tried keeping my distance from him. I shook my head, I never had one that's why I couldn't introduce myself. "You don't have one?" He asked and I nodded. "Mom, she doesn't have a name," he told the woman and she smiled.
"You found her, give her one," she told him and he looked at me smiling.
"How about Mei?" He asked me and I smiled, I liked the name it was pretty. "Your name is Mei," he smiled and noticed something, "you don't talk do you?" I shook my head and looked down, I'm basically mute, it's better if they think that. I don't like speaking, but I like people to think I can't do they don't try. "Well we'll find a way to talk!" He smiled and I smiled at him, he was sweet nothing less.
"We are here," the car stopped and I flung forward falling between the driver's seat and the backseat. Lindo laughed slightly at my expression and held out his hand, I took it as he pulled me up. "Lindo show her to her room, please I'm going to make food," she smiled.
"Lindo!" I heard a bunch of footsteps as it ran, around the corner appeared a small girl my age smiling. "Who's she?"
Lindo looked at me smiling, "this is Mei, she's going to be our sister." She looked at me shocked then she smiled giggling.
"Like Totoro's Mei?" Lindo nodded and she hugged me cheering.
"She's mute, so don't get sad thinking she's ignoring you..."

Well that is the prologue! Funny story, about 200 words in I realized that I mixed up Lindo and Laito from Diabolik Lovers... >~<' But I corrected it! Please like a vote and comment, I will try to answer the comments. If I don't answer you, keep commenting, just no annoying spamming with something that has nothing to do with the story.
Lots of loves! Ivy
