The canvas lay blank before me. Paint, water, and brushes were beside it waiting to be used. I looked around the room and saw that everyone else had already started their paintings and I only just got my supplies ready. Now, what do I paint?
Looking around the room for inspiration, I see that people are painting forest scenery and beaches. Jumping on the bandwagon, I decided to paint nature scenery. A forest in autumn with bright oranges and reds came to mind. I tied my hair up in a loose bun and some strands fell to frame my face. I began with the ground, an earthy brown, and worked my way up to the tops of the trees. After an hour of work I was completed with my masterpiece. It reminded me of last autumn when I ventured to a small little forest to practice my magic.
Walking to the front of the class, the brilliant reds and oranges popped off the page as I brought the canvas to my teacher, Mrs. Dunn.
"Lovely work Alisea," she said taking it from my extended arms, "this might just find itself on display." She smiled at me and walked into the storage room with it. I walked back to my table biting my lip as I tried not to smile.
"On displayl Lisa, your work is going to be up in gallery's pretty soon." Said my best friend Mikayla as I sat down beside her.
"I know Micky, I'm so excited!" I said beaming.
We both looked at the clock, counting down the minutes until the weekend.
"Okay kids, Mondays class is going to be about pointillism so be prepared!" My teacher yelled from the other room as the bell rang at exactly 2:30, "Have a good weekend!"
Finally the day's over, time to go home and relax. "Hey Micky I'll meet you at your house, I got to go wash this paint off." I said as we were walking down the hallway.
"Okay, don't be long." She said waving and walking the other way.

Mikayla and I have been best friends since kindergarten, which would be twelve years. We've been there for each other through bad times, bad breakups, and also the good times. We live walking distance from our high school, so we always walk home together. We're like soul mates, opposites attract right. Her blonde hair and my dark brown hair, her brown eyes and my blue eyes, and her optimistic personality and my pessimistic personality compliment each other.

I turned on my heel and walked towards the bathroom next to the science class. The halls are filled with dark green and bright yellow lockers, the most atrocious of colours. I continued walking down the awful coloured hallway, passing teachers and some students. Finally reachin the bathroom, I pushed the heavy wooden door open. It was bright blue with only two vacant stalls. You'd think that with over two-thousand kids at this school there'd be more stalls. Nope, the designers weren't smart.Looking at myself in the mirror, I saw that I got paint splattered everywhere. On my navy t-shirt, my blue jeans, even somehow in my hair.
"Perfect" I groaned as I turned on the tap and began washing.
The dried up paint began to flake off as I rubbed it with my other hand. They dropped into the sink and began swirling around with the water. With a flick of my hand, the water in the sink rose and floated around my head. With the colours still mixed in, it was like watching a painting come to life. Finally I stopped fooling around and walked over to the dryer, hands dripping with water. The air around me became cooler as I picked up my bag and turned to walk out. Then all of a sudden the lights flickered and went out. My bag fell to the floor as I let out a little shriek, due to the sudden black out. Something or someone was moving around me, creating wind as it passed me. As the lights turned back on, still flickering, I grabbed my bag from the floor. I looked at the mirror before I left and noticed a small yellow paper that wasn't there before. I grabbed it off the mirror and read it. It said only one word: Run.
