Levi POV:

"Levi."

I turned towards Erwin as he stood from his seat and slowly made his way to an open window, his hands numbly tracing the raindrops sliding down the wood and along the glass.

"Yes?"

"Don't yes me Levi, you know what I am about to talk about."

"Her?"

"Yes her, but first; this morning a fresh corpse of what I presume is of a man was found in the Western Wing."
I sighed, "Oh that? It was me, I was interrogating him and my hand slipped. Sorry."

I looked up to see Erwin smile, "Can't you come up with a better excuse? We all knew who it is."

"Anyways," the smile from his face wiped out as the coldness became more permanent, "she's a threat."

The air choked into my lungs, my blood running cold, "Wha-"

"The Imperial Authority has decided to execute her."

"And," his gaze devoid of emotions, "they want you to kill her, can you?"

"Captain!" I looked up into the bright grassy plains that took up the color of her eyes, "You been working on this for so long" she smiled, shyly tucking a string of a fallen bang behind her ear and held up a small plate of sweets and a steaming cup of tea, "I thought you needed some tea."

"Okay?" I took the things gingerly and placed it onto the wooden desk, the warmth from the slight brush against her hands left my fingers tingling, "don't you have work to do?"

"Oh right! Thanks for reminding Captain!"

She turned and skipped towards the door.

"And Captain?"

I looked back from my papers at her.

There was a blush laying evidently upon her face, "I love you." Her smile showed teeth.

I sighed, not this again, "For the last time Vesta, I am not interested in ever having a relationship, not with you not with anyone."

Her smile flattered to the point of hiding away her teeth and the pulling up of her cheeks were forced, I slid my eyes down-her knees were shaking, "it's fine if you don't love me back," she swiveled her back towards me, "if captain wishes I'd stop, I will."

And as if she intended the last comment to not be heard by me, (which I did), "I want to be by your side, Levi."

A single clear droplet fell onto the wooden floor, "Only by your side."

She cries alone.

But smiles to others like nothing happened.

And sleeps behind the shadows of the bars keeping her in, a lonely lonely creature.

Crying and crying after one nightmare and another.

"I killed."

The mud and dirt matted her hair brown, "I thought I was killing Titans, their eyes....I just looked into them....there were so much and I was ripping exterminate and all I wanted was to kill the Titans but instead..."

She was screaming and pulled at the corners of her blanket, "I killed someone," she shakily pointed at The person and at the road of blood, "and pulled him in here and."

"Look it's going to be fine-"

"No! No no no.....it must not be real?" She looked up, pleading, "Yeah, not real at all ."
