I wake in my bed. The last thing I remember is my brother stopping me in the hallway. My alarm clock goes off. I move over to it and place my finger on the silent button. Just then my window flies open once more. I look over to see nothing. My cat was asleep on his pillow. "What the heck" I whisper to myself. I shut the window but as I look outside something catches my attention. A black cat chasing a mouse. It looked like the one I used to have before my parents died. Then I saw the bright blue collar on its neck. I squint my eyes. I then rub my eyes to check if I'm just seeing things. I slam my window shut and close the curtains. "What is going on" I say to myself. I then heart rain on the roof. Since my brother moved us in to an old house from the 18th century the tin on the roof was very worn down and it made the rain sound ten times louder than it was. Sometimes the rain was calming. But not this time. It sounded scary, it didn't sound normal. I walk over to my closet and grab my school uniform. Since I go to a private school my uniform is a suit. Black tie, white shirt, black shoes, and black pants. I then grabbed a jacket and an umbrella. Since I have to walk to school I walked downstairs and grabbed a plastic bag for my book bag. I then walked to the downstairs bathroom and grabbed a comb and ran it though my long brown hair. I reach for my deodorant on the top shelf above my toilet. When I grabbed the bottle of deodorant the lights went out. The bathroom became pitch black. I reached for the door knob and opened the door. As I do I hear music blasting through the house. "Ugh Jake turn the music down the neighbors are gonna come over and complain again if you don't" I yell. Our neighbors aren't the nicest people. They are an old couple, who are cranky as heck. Always coming over to our home to complain about our yard, or if our tv is too loud. The tv is never past the volume of 15. I grab my house keys and leave the house. I walk about a mile and arrive at my school. A large fancy building filled with clubs, students, and snobs. I was a transfer student from America. Now I live in Japan and since I can barely speak the language or know the cultures. I have only few friends. I walk up to the door and see my best friend. Her name is Carrie. Even though I'm a second year and she's a first year student, we're still the best of friends. She has an eyepatch on one eye that she covers with her long black hair. She never tells anyone what happened to her eye. Not even me. Right as I go to talk to her the morning bell went off. I grab my books and head to my second year class. The high school I transferred to is weird. Long grey hallways with fancy glass and wood doors. I walk to my class and open the door. I normally sit in the back. I set my books and pencil down. I then sit down and look around the class. The front of the room has a podium where the teacher tells the lesson. I glance at the students. The front row had 4 people in it. One had purple hair and glasses. One had brown hair and a high pitched voice. Sitting beside the girl was a boy. Green hair and glasses. He had a gaming headset on. He is holding a book but I can't see what the title is, since I'm a bit of a book nerd. Sitting beside me was a girl with red hair. She smelled of brownies and baking powder. "Im guessing she's in the cooking club" I say to myself. The teacher then walked in and everyone stood up, I stood up too. Then they bowed. It took me a moment then I bowed. (Even though I've been in a Japanese high school for 2 years I'm still trying to figure out the traditions)
