"Well what do you think?" My aunt questions as we pull up to a two story pink house.
I look over at my cousin Scotty and see he's already looking at me, we both look back at the house and then speak. " Its Great" we say at the same time. Except he says it sounding exited while I say it in a bored tone.Scotty elbows me in the ribs as my aunt speaks."Look guys I know this isn't ideal but this is going to be great and you can make new friends I know it!" She speaks in a enthusiastic tone. I groan but open my door non the less. "Come on Red it won't be all that bad and hey who knows maybe you'll find a baseball team to play on . . . Like at the old house." My aunt speaks
"I guess" I mumble and head toward the U-Haul parked in front of the garage. I pull up the door and go directly to the right corner and started talking out my boxes. As I make my way out of the truck with a box and a few bags I spot Scotty waving at someone. I look up to see a boy with olive skin black hair and a baseball glove.
Instead of waving back he simply nods his head to show he saw us and continues walking down the street. I simply roll my eyes at his rudeness and walk into the house and ask were my room is. "Oh I didn't pick your rooms I thought it would be better if you and Scotty decided."
I looked over my shoulder and saw Scotty about to come in the house so I bolted upstairs and looked in the two bedrooms and picked the coolest looking one. It had a huge window with a window seat, the walls were painted royal blue, and the closest was huge.
I then turned around as I heard footsteps coming. It was Scotty. He took in my room and groaned "why do you get the cool room?!" He whines. "Because I got here first" I answer simply. He doesn't say another word and walks to his room.
(SIX HOURS LATER)
After I was finally finished unpacking my room I stepped back and took in my decorations. I had my Baseball posters on the left wall next to my window seat and my Elvis ones on the right wall, on the wall with my Elvis posters I had my record player and on the baseball side I had my Dodgers hat signed by babe Ruth, and then on the wall farthest from the door I had my bed pressed against the wall and a nightstand by my bed with a lamp, my glove and bat. Then at the end of my bed was my desk.
Being to tired to even go down for dinner I changed into one of my dad's over sized t-shirts and crawled under my neon green duvet and let darkness consume me
