2nd Chapter

I walked down the aisle, mesmerized with all the guns that they have. I remembered na di pala ako maalam sa baril.

I held one of the gun in the displayed cabinet, "Hand gun to diba?" I mumbled to myself.

"Yes miss ashli it's a hand gun, A Glock 23 Handgun to be precise." James answered which startled me a little.

"Honestly, di naman ako maalam kung anong magandang gamitin at mga kailangan sa school. James would you please buy the things I needed I'll just wait for you in the car." I said and turned and walked out of the place.

After a couple of minutes nakikita ko na si james na maraming daladala. I'm glad that he finished in a short period of time.

"May iba pa po ba kayong gustong puntahan Miss Ashli?" James asked as he looked at me through the rear view mirror. Umiling na lang ako and James started driving on the way home.

"Nakakatamad pumasok, hindi ko naman alam kalakaran ng pagiging part ng mafia." I mumbled as I look outside the window.

"Miss ashli I guarantee you na magiging malaking tulong ang pagpasok niyo sa Rougelux Academy. It will help you defend your self and learn more about mafia transactions." James said as he arranged the things that he bought earlier.

"I know I'm just worried that I will be a laughing stack kasi wala naman akong alam sa mga ganong bagay." I answered and sighed.

"That's how life goes, everyday we wake up and face a new day without knowing what will happen. Everthing will be fine for you Miss Ashli just trust and believe in yourself." James said and walked out of the door.

"Bukas na ang alis mo kaya magpahinga kana. Good night Miss ashli" James added and close the door.

I sighed once again. Mahihirapan ba akong mag adjust pagdating ko don? Dorm school pa naman yon. I really wish na hindi ako mahirapan.

I lay on my bed and continued overthinking things until I fall asleep

"Miss Ashli please wake up." James said while pulling the curtains from the window which led to me being dazzled with the sun. I just groaned and cover myself with a blanket.

"Miss Ashli tanghali na po. Kailangan niyo na gumising at maghanda dahil ngayon ang punta niyo sa school." James said as he snatched the blanket that is covering my face.

"Busy ba si Daddy?" I asked while stretching up before going out of the bed.

"Hindi, Mr. Drifyle cleared he's schedule just to spend time with you today." He answered. "Bakit? Anong meron eh papasok lang naman?" I questioned while frowning.

"Doon ka magstay for the whole school year that's how Rougelux Academy works." He said while fixing my bed.

"Let me guess they did that to ensure that we will fully developed our self within a year?" I said as I fix my hair in front of a mirror.

"You're right and they also did that to ensure your safety and minimize your exposure to threats." James added. I just replied with "Okay quite clever."

After doing my morning routine, I went straight down the dining area and I saw my dad talking with James. Sobrang seryoso ng mga itsura nila siguro about nanaman sa Mafias transaction yon.

"Hi dad!" I greeted him as the maid pull a chair for me to sit.

"Hey princess, wanna hangout today?" My dad said wearing his bright smile as he see me.

"Sige po dad. Where are we going today?" I answered as I started putting foods on my plate.

"Kahit saan na lang siguro. Mall perhaps?" My dad asked. I just nodded since I started eating.

My day went pretty fun, my dad take me to the mall where we watched movies and just bought random stuffs. Nagpunta din kami sa beach saglit and watched the sunset.

"Kala ko ba ngayon yung start ko sa school?" I mumbled while we're in the car.

"Yes" sagot ni dad. "Okay---? Gabi na? Night shift ba doon?" I asked as a looked to my dad.

"No. Today's the day all student should be in the academy but classes starts tomorrow." Dad replied.

"So ngayon niyo na ako ihahatid?" I said as I eyed James who is the one driving the car. "Opo Miss ashli papunta na po tayo ngayon." He asnwered as he glanced at me through the rearview mirror. "Paano mga gamit ko?"

"Pinadala ko na sa school mo at nakaayos na din sa room mo." Dad answered, napa "aaah" na lang ako at pumikit na para matulog.

"Hey!" Someone said then I felt that my shoulder is being tapped lightly. "Ashli gising na nandito na tayo" He added.

Tumambad sa harap ko ang malalaki at nagtataasang gate. I checked the clock in the dashboard it's 8:48 pm already.

"Let's go nagiintay na si Mrs. Ramos satin." My dad said.

I got out of the car, we we're greeted by a mid 50's woman which I think is Mrs. Ramos. Nakangiti siya habang nagiintay sa harap ng gate.

"Welcome to our humble school Mr. Drifyle and Miss Ashli I'm Esmeralda Ramos" she greeted as she offered her hand.

"Thanks" I said, tapos inabot ko na yung kamay niya para makipagshake hands.

"So shall we enter?" Mrs. Ramos asked as she eyed me, napatingin naman ako dad kasi iniintay ko siyang magsalita.

"Let's go!" My dad said and I was about to follow him when Mrs. Ramos interrupted, "Tanging mga estudyante lamang ang maaring pumasok. Hindi niyo na kailangang sumama pa sa loob."

"I wanted to see where my daughter will be staying. Quit whining and let me in." My dad demanded, Tumingin lang samin si Mrs Ramos and after a couple of seconds may lumabas na mga bodyguards ng school.

"Miss Ashli tara na para maihatid na kita sa dorm mo." Mrs. Ramos said as she motioned me to come forward. Dad held my hand and snap his finger. Naglabasan ang mga body guards ni Dad at tinutok na nila ang baril nila kay Mrs. Ramos.

Tinutok din ng mga bodyguards ng school ang baril nila samin. "Don't make this hard Mr. Drifyle, kaya mo pinapasok ang anak mo dito ay para matuto sa mafia transaction at makayanan niyang tumayo sa sarili niyang mga paa. Sa tingin mo matututo ba siya kung lagi mo siyang pinoprotektahan?" Mahabang litanya ni Mrs. Ramos.

My dad sighed and motioned his men to lower their guns. "Sige, stay safe my princess" my dad said as he kissed my forehead.
