kian's parents were thieves. they often got kian tied along with them, ending up kian in the orphan, while his parents in jail. because the nun was kind enough, the nun made kian escape before the police got him to jail, given that he was already allowed to be in jail. ever since then, kian was shunned by everyone, saying he was an outcast. that is how he got his bruises. (lol it wasn't a clear summary, so ask me if you're confused.)
