Choi Jun Hee (최준희) or Juniel (주니엘) is South Korea singer under FNC Music Entertainment, the same label with CN Blue and FT Island. Juniel is the first solo female singer from FNC Music Entertainment. In 2012, Juniel debut as a singer in South Korea. She began her career in Japan before eventually debuting in South Korea. She was first known as 'Junie', but eventually changed her name to 'Juniel'. The name is derived by combining her name, Junie, and L for 'love'. Juniel started training at Good Entertainment, the same agency with another celebrity such as G.NA, Wonder Girls Yoobin and After School Uee, due to Good Entertainment's financial troubles, they left for separate Korean entertainment companies. She later auditioned at FNC Entertainment, and became a trainee the same day a CN Blue Jung Yonghwa.
In 2010, Juniel decided to go Japan to study more about music. While studying in Japan, she won the Japanese audition program 'Niji Iro Supernova', beating out many other singers and songwriters from all over the country. She started playing the guitar in her third year of junior high school. On April 29, 2011 Juniel debut in Japan with her first mini album "Ready Go" under Al Entertainment, agency that cooperation with the FNC Music Entertainment. She wrote her first song, "Boy", when she was sixteen. This song was included in her first Japanese mini album. Juniel said she She finds it difficult to write sad lyrics because she is a very happy person.
On June 26, 2011, Juniel was the opening act in Oh Won Bin's live tour "Good For You", at Akasaka BLITZ. She later went on to be the opening act in F.T. Island's "2011 Summer Tour - Messenger" in Tokyo. On July 12, 2011, Juniel released her second mini album "Dream & Hope". After her second mini album, Juniel underwent a label change to Warner Music Japan and made her debut under Warner Music Japan with the single "Forever". On December 24, 2011 Juniel to be the opening act in “Lawson Presents Music For All All For One Supported by Skapa!” at Yoyogi National Stadium First Gymnasium.
On February 15, 2012, Juniel released her second Japanese single, "Sakura ~todokanu omoi~". On May 22nd, Juniel debut in South Korea. She released “Fool” with CN Blue Jung Yonghwa off of her first mini album ‘My First June‘. CN BLUE Yonghwa was produce this song for Juniel. To support his fellow artist, Yonghwa has stepped up not only as a producer but as an actor in her music video as well. On June 7, 2012, her official debut single, "illa illa", was released. She held her debut showcase and released her full mini album 'My First June' on the same day.
