My Enemy's Wife

{Chapter 8}

Flashback

"Elsa master will be furious if you don't come back" Zelena yells at me. She is the woman that raised me, she is like a mother to me. But I want more that is why she is so mad at me, for the past mouths I have been sneaking around the castle trying to explore. I'm sixteen, it's normal for me to want to get out of that place, Zelena and I live in the basement of the castle. To me it's not creepy since I grew up here but to her it's horrible. She acts like she likes it here but in reality she is frightened. "I'll just be a minute" I yell back to her, I walk up the stairs to lead out of this basement. I want to know what is beyond those doors, I've never seen it and my mind is exploding to know.

When I reach the top of the stairs is a large old door, he really needs to fix this. Everything here is so old and dusty, that is why he has maids but they never do anything. Well non of them last for a week anyway. Zelena is maid but she is better then the others. I reach for the handle and open the door, I have been waiting for this moment for so long. The door isn't locked, that's good. But when I completely open them I gasp and become frightened. I let go of the handle and nearly fall back down the stairs but something catches me. Master is standing by the door and his black sand and my ice catch me before I fall down the stairs.

Yes, I have ice powers, I discovered them at the age of five.I've never seen him in person and I got to say that he is rather handsome. But I won't forget all the stories that have been told to me, master isn't a good man and I should stay away. He doesn't look angry at all, he just looks at me and it's kind of creepy. I can feel my heartbeat start to pound in my chest like it's trying to get out. I'm pretty sure he can hear my heart. "Zelena" he yells down to her, I close my eyes and take a sharp breath to calm my self down. I know I'm in big trouble. Soon Zelena comes up here and gasps when she sees me and him. "You called master?" She asks kindly no bows for respect. "I want her in my chamber in one hour" he says and disappears.

Wow that is impressive. But what does he want with me in his chamber? "What was that all about? What did he say to you?" She asks me. Why does she ask me I'm not even sure what happened. "Nothing, he didn't talk to me at all" I say to her. Isn't he supposed to be all evil and never care for anyone, that is st least what I've been told my whole life. I think the stories about are just that, stories nothing more. "Let's get you ready, you need to look your best" she says and she pushes me to the large bucked where she will wash my body. I take of my clothes and step in the ice cold water, to me it isn't cold but I've never liked the hot water that she heats for her bath. So I always have mine cool and if it is hot I just use my powers to cool it down.

Zelena takes me to his chambers, I could not have time to look around the castle since everything was just black. I couldn't see anything at all. Is this always like that? His door opens and he welcomes me in but Zelena goes back to the basemenat where she is suppose to me. I see one light and I go to that light, truth to be told I'm a little scared of the dark. I can hear a movement close to me and I began to shiver out of fear, I'm terrified right now. "Don't fear" a sharp deep voice whispers in my ear. I turn around but I don't see anything. "Where are you?" I ask. He didn't answer me at all with that question. Suddenly there were lights everywhere but not that it was all light, the lights did not give away much but now I could see sound in this room.

"What do you want from me?" I ask when I come to face him, he finally came into the light. And I can tell that he isn't use to it. Again he did not answer me, how rude of him. But then again I have heard that he is really rude to people. He came closer to me and I back up. Every step he takes, I take one backwards. Well it was like that until my back hit a wall and I was trapped, he came closer and closer. There is nothing I can do now. "Tell me why are you not frightened of me?" He asks. He thinks I'm afraid but honestly I'm not. I know for a fact that I should be running away screaming Burt I feel something pull me to him. I can't really explain it. He studies my face until he meets my eye.

His yellow eyes would probably send everyone running for the hills but I kind of like his eyes. "I'm not afraid of you, I don't have a reason to be afraid now do I?" I ask trying to be brave. Zelena once said to me that he can know when you're scared and that he can sense your fear and know it. Maybe that is why he turned all the lights on so that I wouldn't be afraid anymore. Each second he is close to me I feel the urge to feel him hold me. Like he understood my feelings and took me in his arms, finally he kissed me.
