You didn't have to - Chapter 1

Authors Note

I quickly wanted to say that Katara and Tain are both on a picnic rug and they are about to eat and I writing from Kataras POV. (POV = Point Of View)

"Please can we eat I'm starving!" I beg Tain.

"Wait, before we eat I want to give you something.."He tells me then digs through the picnic basket saying,

"Oh where is it? and "Where did you go?".

After a couple of minutes he picks up medium black box, smiles then hands it out to me.

"Tain you really didn't have to..." I say before I take the box and continued with,

"But thank you anyway".

"Well you would have done the same for me.." he says then pauses. I'm confused because he's now giggling. I understood why when he said,

"I hope".

We both burst out laughing. When our laughter settled down he told me to open the black box. As I slowly opened the black box my heart started beating loud and heart in my chest. Once the box was fully open I gasp then cover my mouth.

"Ohh... Tain! it's amazing just like you!" I say while putting the box down on the ground and  leaning over to give my best friend a hug. After that I sit back down and pick up the most beautiful necklace I had ever seen. It was a silver chain with a forever symbol on it.

"Turn around and I'll put it on for you". Tain tells me nicely. I smile at him and then shuffle around. I take the necklace carefully out of the box and hand it to him. I hold up my hair so he can clearly see what he is doing. He places my necklace over my neck and clips it together.

"Thank you so much'' I tell him.

''No problem'' Tain says reassuring me.
