Chapter one The Secret
Emilia Rowle belonged to the Pureblood family Rowle. A Pureblood family meant, a family that had wizard blood only.
Her family had been Slytherin since generations and generations. Even her brother Thorfinn Rowle, commonly known as Thor, was a Slytherin and a year senior than her. He along with her family despised Muggles and Muggleborn witches and wizards. Muggles were non magic folk, and Muggleborns were witches and wizards, who belonged to Muggle families. However, Emilia's views differed from them when she started school and befriended a Muggleborn.
Emilia, unlike her family was sorted into Gryffindor. Unlike the Blacks, another very ancient Pureblood house, her parents didn't make a scene of it and accepted her but deep down Emilia knew they were disappointed in her and would have been much happier if she was sorted in Slytherin.
Emilia Rowle lived in a wizarding society, where all around her wizards lived. That was the reason why she had made a wizard friend named James Potter. They were the same age and in a few days they became the closest of friends. James was also a Pureblood and even though her parent's opinions differed from that of James' parent's, she was still allowed to hang out with him and play with him. Their friendship was strengthened when they started attending Hogwarts and were sorted in the same house.
Their friendship grew as the years passed and soon both were ready to start off their fifth year at Hogwarts. They were both fifteen and still best friends. Their friendship didn't end when James found new friends like Sirius Black, Remus Lupin and Peter Pettigrew. Nor did it end when Emilia made friends like Lily Evans and her other dorm mates, Lily hated the guts of her best friend but it didn't effect Emilia's way of thinking. They stayed friends in ups and downs. They had arguments but their friendship didn't end.
Emilia Rowle was walking on the platform 9 3/4 with her brother Thorfinn Rowle and her mother Beatriss Rowle. They walked to the platform while her mother was asking if they had forgotten anything and occasionally threw in insults about the muggles around and how helpless they were. Having heard enough all summer Emilia separated from her family at Kings cross.
Suddenly, Emilia felt weight on her shoulders as someone put their arms around her. She stumbled forward from the sudden weight but steadied herself before falling on her face.
"Guess who?" Came a male voice, who the arms around her shoulder belonged to.
"Ha Ha James, very funny, now get off me you oaf before I fall on my face," Emilia replied trying to pry his hands off her."You weigh more than an elephant!" She turned around and looked at him. James was wearing a smile on his face and had an expression of joy in his hazel eyes.
