I would have stayed in that spot for as long as it would take me to understand what had just transpired but that was not about to happen. My now companion jumped up and yanked me by the arm. He now moved with break-neck speed pulling me behind him. We ran for a few minutes more before coming to the end of the thicket.
There loomed before us a large building that made me think of several of my village huts squeezed together above and below a level platform. We approached the structure cautiously with the eyes of my partner darting to and fro to ensure our security.
As we approached the building there were several doors all closed and the area very quiet. We walked past several of the closed doors until we reached the last one on the corridor. The boy gently rapped on the door and it was quickly opened. He pushed me inside and abruptly shut the door behind us.
