A/N- So sorry, guys! I've been super busy lately, with all this vacationing and stuff, not to mention this is my first public story I've posted....but...anyways, I hope you like it! Also, I'm probably going to rewrite this in a bit, or at least see how it goes. I'm going to start a few new stories as well. I've got big plans for the Undertale fandom, the Phandom, and even the Steven Universe fandom!
~THIS IS A LINEBREAK!!!~
Now, Danny wasn't a very trusting person. Living in a place that was so commonly infested with those who can hurt or scar him, both physically and mentally, it was hard to tell who he could trust completely. So when a large goat wearing a dress came and saved him from a demonic flower, he could very well say he was surprised with how immediate trust was felt when he gazed into her concerned amber orbs.
"Come, my child. You must be tired. I have a place just up ahead, where you can rest. Then you can have something to eat, if you'd like."
So, now here he was, following this motherly women like he was her own, and, to be honest, he very well felt like it. It...was nice, how much she showed concern for him as she taught him that the best way to approach a monster down here, was through talking, or MERCY. He hardly remembered the times his own mother showed him this much attention....
Shaking his head from his darker thoughts, Danny looked up to see Toriel standing next to a very complex puzzle...full of spikes. Oh, the spikes. Toriel looked a bit nervous as he gazed at the large sharp and deadly spikes.
"Puzzles seem a bit hard for you right now, my child. Come along, I will guide you through this one." She took his hand as he mentally sighed in relief. Thank Clockwork he didn't have to go through this alone. Once they made it to the end, and Toriel let go of his hand, Danny took a closer look at the scenery around him.
The Ruins, as Toriel called this place, was a beautiful purple/grey. It was calming; just like Toriel. The place where he fell seemed so much more dark and menacing, but this place-it filled him with...Determination. Yeah. He was Determined to go along, explore. He wanted to bring Justice to the monsters-to Toriel-that had apparently been trapped down here by his own kind! He wanted to give kindness to these poor souls, who have done absolutely nothing wrong-he was defiantly looking at Whimsun there-because they seemed to be just like him. Just like the ghosts.
Maybe that was why he felt so happy down here. Hell, he'd almost completely forgotten about his own life back at Amity until he remembered his friends! How crazy was that?! Forgetting your own friends...despicable.
Okay, enough with the crazy talk. He had a mission! He was going to get through these ruins! He was going to find a way out of this! Danny smiled as he found Toriel by a large tree. Behind the beautiful view, was Toriel's house.
"Come along, my child." Toriel said as she guided him inside. He must admit, it was a pretty nice house. It felt very home-y. Toriel showed him around the house, and, once they were done, she showed him his room. Now, the room might have been a bit childish, but for right now, he didn't really care. He was just too tired. Without a moments pause, he collapsed on the bed-holy Clockwork, it's so comfortable-and was out in record time.
When he woke up, Danny noticed a piece of cinnamon-butterscotch pie by his bedside. Toriel was the best.
