Laura's POV

I trotted downstairs as the front door shut, the familliar sound of the lock clicking rung out through the foyer.

"Zayn!" I sqealed, running into my brother's arms. He was the type with tattoos, peircing, a deep voice, and a intimidating appearance, but knowing him as my brother and only my brother helped me get past his appearance and realize he was a very shy, happy, and quiet person.

He enveloped my small frame in a hug and I looked out at him. He was in a gang and had been gone for three days without connection to our family but he finally had come back ,and, without a scratch on his body.

"Hey Laura." He smiled. We walked into the kitchen where my mum practically burst into tears, hugged him tight enough to break him in half, and smiled so big that it looked as if her cheeks would crack or her lips would split.

"Sweety, where've you been?" She asked Zayn, running her hands up and down his arms. She'd hated the thought of tattoos or peircings but she respected her son's choices on his own body.

"I was caught up in the gang."

She had known that he was in a gang and we'll fully trusted him to be safe and careful. He'd been gone and back enough times to not make us doubt.

We talked for a little longer until I went upstairs to take a shower. I'd heard Zayn's car pull up in the driveway, which'd waken me up, and I didn't have time to shower or change before I'd ran downstairs and practically molested him with hugs.

I locked my room's door and went into my bathroom, locking that door as well. My family was practically rich, but not millionares. But, yet, we could afford many things.

I stripped off my clothes and stepped in the shower, turning the water on full heat. I let the droplets run down my back, warming my spine and the rest of my body.

I scrubbed my hair with shampoo and conditioner and washed my body with my lilac shower gel. I liked smelling like a breeze or something fresh that opened up my nose. It made me feel clean and as long as I felt clean, I wasn't insecure. At least most of the time.

I stepped out after turning off the shower and wrapped a fluffy towel around my body and hair. My long black hair was stringy and strait and I liked it that way. I dried it with my hair dryer and got dressed in a mid-thigh length flowry patterened pink sundress.

I put on some pink flats with a pink leather and gold studded belt. I grabbed a magenta messenger bag and my backpack, transferring binders and textbooks into the magenta strap bag.  I was planning to go to my favorite coffee shop. It wasn't usually crowded but since it was one of the only ones in town and today was a Saturday, it might just be crowded.

I slung the bag over my shoulder and pranced downstairs, applying lipgloss in the proccess. I stuck my Iphone and the lipgloss in the front pocket and walked into the livingroom where Zayn, mum, and my three little sisters ,Doniya, Waliyha, and Safaa, all sat. I explainedwhere I was going and planted a kiss on each one of their cheeks before making my way into the foyer and out the door.

I unlocked, got into, started up, and drove away my white convertable after plugging in my neon green ear buds and turning my All Time Low,Skrillex, and NSync music on a deffaning height.

I walked into the semi-crowded shop and sat down after ordering myself a vanilla steamer. I took my laptop out of my bag and set it up to charge, opening it and grinning. I'd always loved school work, it was my escape when things got too much to take.

This situation wasn't too much to take, just the point of my brother being in a gang made me a slight bit uneasy. I knew that I said I trusted him but still, being in a gang was dangerous.

I diverted my thoughts from the subject and double clicked on Google Chrome, taking a couple sheets of notebook paper out from the bag along with a pen and a binder.

I glanced up and saw the girl from my school walk in. She had a troubled expression on her face and it seemed as if she didn't bother to hide the brokeness inside. She wore gray skinny jeans, white hightop converse, and a white sleeveless top that had a faded British flag painted across it.

Her half-blond-half-brown hair was pulled up into a lose bun and she shuffled towards the counter.

Ever since I was little, I'd had an ability to read people. Mostly making fake backround stories about them, but nevertheless, reading them.

She really did seem broken, my eyes stayed glued on her small figure, but she didn't seem fixable either. But,even then, with just enough help, fix would become fixed. Her peircing blue eyes locked with mine after she'd hauled herself to a table that was towards the back of the coffee shop. Her features made her big blue eyes pop and her deathly pale skin glow. I glanced towards my pyramid of school textbooks, notebooks, pencils, pens, and paper and started packing my things. I closed my laptop but didn't put it away. I balanced my steamer in my inner elbow as I carried my mound of things towards her table.

She'd looked away but by now, she was staring back up at me, fear and pain flash through her eyes. He face still remained emotionless but I could tell she was contemplating whether to trust me or not.

I cocked my head as if asking for permission to sit and she slowly nodded, gripping her coffee tightly in her hand.

I sat and smiled at her. I knew she didn't want to talk but she was someone I'd be more than willing to be friends with.

"Hi. I'm Laura." I told her. She weakly smiled back and nodded, her bright blue eyes never leaving mine.

"I-I'm Chrissy.." She muttered, looking down at her coffee that was being crushed in her frail hand. I felt bad for making her scared but I knew if I worked hard enough, I'd break down her walls.

"I'm sorry if I scared you, I just thought you might need a friend." I admitted, slightly blushing. She somewhat smiled now and I could tell this one wasn't fake.

"Yea, pretty much...I just got some bad news from-- Y'know, I'm not going to burden you with my problems." She said, blushing as well. I lightly laughed, earning a confused glance from Chrissy.

"That's exactly why I came. Don't worry, I won't tell." I explained, her letting out a large sigh of relief.

"S-So..I found out my brother's in a gang and it's kind of hard for me 'cause he's always been so sweet and caring. It's hard for me to see him like this." She frowned. My heart jumped when she said gang, Before Zayn left, he said there was a new member in his gang. What was his name..Nian? Niancely? Ni--

"And I'm not one to make friends so I don't really have anyone to go to..except Nash or Brent or Cameron." She babbled. Nash, Brent,Cameron? Sounds like the familiar trio that I love.

"Y-You mean..Grier, Rivera, and Dallas?" I squeaked, wiggling my fingers under the table. Fan girl spasms, I guess.

"Yup." Chrissy said, popping the 'p'.

"I'm in love with them!" I squealed, earning some dirty looks from the couples throughout the shop. I softened my expression when I saw her look down and frown.

"Every girl wants to be friends with me only because I know them." She told me, pain flickering into her features, leaving as fast as it came.

"I-I'm Sorry.. I-I didn't know...But believe me, I'd love to be friends with you. Even if you didn't know them." I smiled at her. Her features softened and she grinned at me.

"I'd like that."
