I grab my phone out of my bra, to check for messages. Nothing. I'm feeling like such a loner right now, not even a single text. Maybe they have forgotten, that I'm no longer at home. I've told them yesterday, so it isn't possible, right? I guess I'm not interesting enough. My phone vibrates in my hand, Lucas.
Hi sis, how are you? Did you come there in one piece or do I need to call an ambulance? Don't get mad at me! I needed to ask that from Jeanette and Paul... Anyway, a text back would be nice. Luke.
The text makes me laugh, he's such an idiot. He's my brother and I love him very much, but sometimes he's really weird. It runs in the family, my hole family is nuts. I can't think of someone who isn't weird, I can say that I'm not, but that would be a lie. If I think about it, I might be the strangest one. Well, the least I can do, is text Lucas back.
Hey Lucky Luke, I'm fine. Thank you for trusting my driving skills, so no ambulance. Tell Jeanette and Paul I said hi. You know this is the first time I ever texted you back? Take a screenshot, this is history! Haha, I'm sorry I'm bored. So I'll stop writing now, before it gets too weird. Love you! Xx Lexi.
I hate to do nothing all day, so working out seems like a good option. It's been so long since I've exercised, well yesterday, that's long for me. I grab a sports bra and shorts out of the closet and put them on. My hair is already in a ponytail, so I leave it that way. I put my earplugs in and try to pick a song. Why is this always so hard? Nirvana it is, the hole Nevermind album, so I don't have to choose one song.
With quick steps I walk out of my room and down the stairs. Just outside the school, is a huge field. It's a shame if nobody uses it. Of course there are football players practicing, but they won't be bothered by me. It's not like I'm going to run straight through the area where they train and I'll try my best not to distract them.
There's also a skate park at the other side of the field, so maybe that's a better place to go. A few people are there, but I don't care. My music is playing loud, so I can't even hear them. I begin running towards the skate park, as a warming up. It doesn't take very long before I'm at the skate park, but I don't need a really long warming up.
Once I'm on the pavement, I start stretching my muscles, so I don't injure myself while working out. It happens sometimes, but it's been a while since my last one. My intention is to keep it that way, so I try to be careful. As I'm stretching, some of the boys start skating in front of me, but I don't pay attention to them. When I'm listening to music, it's like I'm in my own world. Nobody else seems to exist anymore, so I never look where I'm standing.
To start things of, I walk to the grass and take of my shoes. It's a weird habit I have, while doing yoga. I really like doing it with bare feet, so I can feel connected with the ground. Yeah, I'm strange. Maybe it's because of my powers, but I don't know it for sure. First, the warrior position, then the king of the dance and the down facing dog. I love doing yoga, it helps me relax. Of course it's a bit weird to do yoga while listening to Nirvana, but it's power yoga, so I think it doesn't matter.
After a few positions, I put my shoes back on. Time to get the real thing started, or else working out has no sense. Jumping jacks to get a little warmer again, the yoga has cooled me down. While jumping, one of my earplugs falls out. I hear some guys whispering to each other, but I try to ignore them. When they start whistling at me, I take out both earplugs and turn around.
