This chapter is dedicated to Christina Maharg and Rowan14. You guys have been so helpful and supportive. And rowan is the one that convinced me to write :)
It was Myrah's first day at her new school. The school was just like she had pictured it to be. There were only about 70 students per grade. The guys wore t-shirts, stained jeans and work boots. The girls wore the same stupid t-shirts, jeans, and cowboy boots. But Myrah was okay with all of it.
She already knew that it would be difficult. Especially since southern people had morals or something like that. But Myrah also believed in and knew what she was capable of. So she was ready.
She had all eyes on her as she clicked down the hallway in her stilettos. Everyone was in awe. They hadn't ever seen anyone like her before. And someone already had his eyes set on her.
Caleb Ingram was the total opposite of Myrah. He was kind, sincere, and loved by everyone. He knew what kind of person she was from just one glance. And he was determined to change her.
Myrah found her locker and was putting her stuff in it when someone approached her. "Hi, I'm Caleb. You must be Myrah. I have been assigned to show you around for the day. Do you need any help? " Myrah was already tired of him, and they had just met. But she put on a fake smile anyways. " No I'm fine, thank you. And i don't need a helper. I am capable of doing things by myself. I'm not five. " And with that, Myrah slammed her locker shut and walked towards her first class.
Caleb was in shock. He had expected her to be rude, but she was so much more of a bitch than he thought she would be. It was going to take him a long time to change her. However, he was willing to take the challenge. He hated when people were okay with that reputation and the way that they acted. It was disgusting. There was only one way that Caleb could change her. And that was to play her game.
