Field Trip To Nowhere©

Chapter One
Emilee
“Ms. Spicer? What are you doing? Pay attention. We are about to leave for the field trip. Now, class......” My teacher said. I ignored the rest.
Today I get to go on a field trip with all of my best friends. We are going to a museum to learn about the history of Rome. I watched from the back of the room, my teacher babbled annoying blurbs while I daydreamed about a tropical island getaway.
I pictured the island, so peaceful. No worries needed. I see the tall trees, filled with delicious fruit, so you will never run out of food. And the little stream, with fresh water., So fresh you can drink right out of it. A giant lean-to with monkey servants! I wondered what islands are like in real life. I thought I wouldn't mind being trapped there with my friends.
My teacher soon interrupted my thoughts and shouted “Everyone line up at the door, we are getting onto the bus to go to the museum”. We walked up to the bus with all of my best friends by my side. Hannah Clark, Daniel O'Shaughnessy, Liz Lanier, Will Witt, Anna Geib, Emmy Shopmeyer, Avery Jenkins, Charlie Dvergsten, Sammi Odell and Chloe Cheek. “I want to sit next to Hannah!” I yelled out. Daniel sat with Charlie, Will sat with Avery, Chloe sat with Liz, and Anna sat with Emmy. Sammi sat in front of me. We started quietly talking to each other, when Ms.Redford yelled “Class! Hold it together! You are seventh graders, not a bunch of kindergarteners!” My class let out a big groan. We hate Ms.Redford. I hope she would not be in my getaway.
We had such a long ride, but finally, after many, many hours we got to the museum. Wait! That’s not the museum.......I think the bus driver is a little looney! I thought. Then, the bus driver sang out “Get off the bus!”
Was it just me or did I see an island? Wait!!! Where are all of the other students?! They are monkeys! Weeee Monkeys! I like monkeys. And they are servants, too? I looked around and all of my best friends were still there. “Let’s get out of the bus and see what's out there”. We hopped off the bus and onto the warm sand.
“Eww! I stepped on seaweed! What are we doing on this island? Where is my class?” Ms.Redford said.
“I have no idea.” I said. “Where are we anyway?”
“Ah, no worry needed guys. I have been trained to survive any ecosystem. This will be child’s play. We need to find food, water, shelter and a way to get off this island.” said Will and Daniel at the exact same time.
“Um excuse me. You did not take the island courses.” Daniel said to Will, quite rudely.
“Oh, yes I have. You're not the only genius on this island.” Will said back to him.
“Boys...” I whispered to Hannah and she agreed.
Soon Anna speaks “Come on guys let’s go look for food and shelter”. We chose a partner, Anna and Emmy, looked for water, Hannah and I looked for food, Will and Daniel (still arguing) made shelter, while Ms.Redford barked at the rest of them.
Daniel and Will got started on the shelter. They got logs, leaves, and vines,. They got the logs and set up two forts, one for the girls and another for the guys. “I hope you guys like sand for beds. Welcome to your tropical island getaway, Emilee.” Will said.
Chapter Two
Charlie
“I hope you guys like sand for beds. Welcome to your tropical island getaway, Emilee.” Will said. Uggh. I miss playing the trumpet I thought.
