I hated school. I hated everything and everyone. School days were filled with terror and weekends were filled with tears. The start of the Easter holidays brought a two week break off of school for me, meaning I wouldn't have to deal with Zayn or anyone else.
I liked the house we lived in. My room was small and cosy with a lava lamp that my mum had brought me and a massive windowsill that I could sit in. It was a pleasant Spring day, and I was sitting on the windowsill reading some Jacqueline Wilson books. Sweet tea was in a mug beside me and the sun illuminated my room. In a soft knit sweatshirt and athletics shorts, I was dressed for a lazy day at home. The window faced the street, and it wasn't until I looked up from my book that I realised that Zayn and his gang were on the opposite side of the street, sitting on their bikes eating lunch from the burger van down the road. My eyes widened in horror and I immediately scrambled to try and cover my face.
They heard me and looked up at the window where I was sat. I saw a smirk grow on Zayn's face and I cursed myself for being so loud.
"Hey, look who it is!"
"Shove off, Malik." I yelled through my open window.
I surprised myself with my new found confidence. I guessed it was because they were down there and I was up in my room.
"You what?" he snarled.
"You heard me, get lost!"
"Oh, you are so gonna get it."
"From all the way down there? I'd like to see you try." I retorted. No! Shut up! I told myself. I'm just going to get it worse next time we do meet!
"I've had enough." he growled, whispering something to his friends and then taking a step back. They grabbed leftovers from their burger boxes and hurled them towards me.
In an effort to avoid the greasy meal being thrown at me, I leapt out of the way, knocking the scalding hot tea onto my legs. Not only that, but the burgers managed to hit me anyway, covering my hair in ketchup, burger sauce and salad. I screamed at the temperature of the coffee, watching my legs and hands turn bright red. The boys laughed hysterically from down below, while I desperately ran to the bathroom to try and cool off my burns. I felt so stupid - my confidence had ruined it all. Tears blurred my eyes as I streamed cold water onto my legs and hands. It was too late; blisters were forming already and it hurt to do anything.
Easter break was not as fun as I had originally planned.

Felicity's POV;
I woke up to the beautiful sound of birds chirping with the sunlight streaming through the window-
Well, not really. I woke up to my phone blaring the ringtone I set for Anna, the duvet halfway across the room and the cold autumn air blasting through the open window that I opened in the night because I felt hot but now I'm freezing.
I rolled over and grabbed my phone from the table, finally ending the blasting noise coming from it, before I'd even opened my eyes.
"Anna." I mumbled.
"FELICITY!"
I winced. "Ahh, too loud! It's too early for that kind of noise. It's like-"
"6:45, I know."
"6:45!?" I yelled, my eyes ripping open to find that the time was in fact quarter to seven in the morning. "Anna I've only had 8 hours sleep!"
"Yeah, well normal people can function with that."
