Chapter Seven
Watermelon, Strawberries and so many other fruity smells slowly but delightfully intruded my nostrils making their way to my palate. My mouth watered. I slid my tongue in between my lips hoping to taste the enticing fruit yet I could not see them. I could feel my brows furrow in confusion but then I heard something; a light and unmistakeable laughter that tried its best to keep quiet.
Gabriel...was invading my dreams now...great...wait...I could tell that I thought that with sarcasm, but I had no reason to have the sarcasm. So what if Gabriel wanted to come into the realm of my dreams? I could say what I wanted in here and he would never know the difference. Wow, this dream was so clear, so vivid. The flavor of the fruit still lingered in my nostrils and down my throat. I wondered where it was coming from, but I soon forgot about that when I heard Gabriel ask me,
“Bella, would you like to taste one?”
This was a dream after all so I said the one thing that I would have never said to him in reality, but I wished I would, but it's too soon so my dream would have to do.
“I want to taste you Gabriel...kiss...me.”
I felt my body slightly shift and a breath that smelled so...alluring that my body couldn't decide if it felt like fire erupting from my pores or if it were ice; a cooling sensation that chilled me to the bone or maybe it was a mixture of both. The sensation that went through me went haywire not knowing exactly what it should feel and then that breath came closer making my own haggard, wanting so desperately to capture it for myself in between my lips, I parted my lips and felt my hands reach out, grasping at the shirt that was attached to the body that I knew deep down I wanted so badly. Although I couldn't see anything with my own eyes, I didn't need to, my lips and hands knew where to go and then he spoke,
“Bella, open your eyes Luv...open your eyes.” His voice was beyond seducing and I was having a hard time being coherent passed that sweet decadent voice of his, but I managed to reel myself in enough to hear the actual words he said and then I opened my...eyes.
Gabriel's eyes bore into mine with his best bedroom eyes and I was sure mine was just the opposite. I couldn't move a muscle, my brain froze up apparently because I couldn't get a word to form in there. I could still feel my hands on him and I could still feel his breath against my face. I knew only one thing then; never underestimate whether it's truly a dream or not. Gabriel's eyes felt as if he were digging a huge hole through mine as if looking for a lost treasure or something and then he said,
“I see you do not want this Bella. I am sorry that I lost control, it was very hard not to do what you asked of me the way you spoke those words. I will not let this happen again...”
Gabriel pulled off of me and sat on the edge of the couch now holding the plate of fruits that I knew I smelt earlier in my...no, that wasn't a dream. I can't believe I thought that was a dream. I'm such a fool. I had no idea what to say to him. It was all my doing, he shouldn't feel that he did anything wrong and I had to be honest with myself; I was...very...attracted to...him. I began to get frustrated with myself. Not because my eyes magnetically glued to him, but because I was getting really sick and tired of being such a good girl. I knew I wanted him to kiss me so why pull away? It didn't mean that we would be dating or anything, just a...kiss. No harm in that, right? That was it, the Bella I once knew was no more. It was time for me to change, to have a life that I wanted and do things that I deserved and I was starting on Gabriel's full inviting lips.
Gabriel sat there staring a hole into the bowl of fruit in deep thought. While he was so easily distracted, I scooted closer to him with one leg draping down the side of the couch while the other crossed in front of me. I reached into the bowl and picked a juicy piece of watermelon out and began eating it. I had to lose the bad morning breath somehow. Going to the bathroom right now would just kill the moment that I had hopes of having. I ate the fruit while Gabriel looked up to me, realizing now the close proximity I was to him. I had to admit that using that piece of watermelon the way I was was way risque for me, but it was working. Gabriel's eyes glanced from my lips to my eyes more than once. When I was finished I quietly said,
