jughead sighs as he approaches bettys house and hears her parents fighting. he climbs the ladder up to her window and knocks. "one second!" betty sniffles and wipes her tears, and opening the window for jughead. he sees that shes been crying and pulls her into a hug. "shhh its okay baby." she sobs and his heart breaks slightly, hating how much the fighting affects her. "hey why dont we go down to pops with archie and veronica? how does that sound?" betty nods and smiles up at him. "that sounds.... good" jughead smiles back and grabs bettys hand, kissing it and leading her down the stairs. "where the hell do you two think you're going?" alice cooper stares at them both and glares. jughead glares back and rubs bettys back as she tears up. "to pops. lets go betty." jughead walks away quickly, dragging betty after him. betty nods and follows quickly behind him. they arrive at pops and betty sighs in relief. "it's better than home right now." jughead sighs and kisses her softly, wiping away her tears in the process. "it's okay baby girl, i'm here for you." she nods and kisses back, smiling and walking inside. the pair spots archie and veronica, heading over to the table. archie smiles when he sees them. "hey guys." betty looks down and sits quietly. "h-hi" jughead sits and rubs her back. "its okay b we're all here for you." veronica sighs and looks over at them. "are you parents fighting again?" betty nods and tears up. "yeah, it's awful. polly and i try to ignore it but it's so hard to."
"well were all here if you wanna talk b" veronica smiles and places her hand over hers. jughead snorts and looks down angrily. "i bet." "you got a problem weirdo?" bettys fists clench and she hits veronica across the face. "never talk about him like that again! cmon juggy lets go." betty takes his hand and starts walking. he glares at veronica and follows betty. "guys wait." archie runs up to them and frowns. "im so sorry about that." they both give him a weird look and betty laughs. "don't apologize for her." archie nods and stops at his house when they reach it. "you coming jug?" jughead shakes his head and grabs bettys hand. "nah we're gonna go to my trailer for tonight." archie nods and waves goodbye. "ill see you guys later." "okay!" betty smiles and starts walking towards the trailer park. "im excited for tonight, let's watch a movie." jughead chuckles and smiles. "of course." they walk together chuckling and giggling, the perfect end to their awful night.
