A simple greeting

You stood there, waiting for C/N to exit his tutoring session. Maybe it would be a better idea to join him. No, I'm too nervous.. You curl your hair as you wait for him to walk past you. The clock is ticking.. A while longer to go. By a while.. this means two whole hours of waiting. Which is okay as long as you get to see him. After all, there's nothing better to do. C/N appreciates the fact you'd stay after school for him. Things have been a little awkward lately, you just admitted your feelings for him not too long ago. So it's time to make a move somewhere in life.

It's really quiet in the halls. Actually, no one really bothers to stay after school hours except the kids at clubs. Today was a quiet day, towards the end of school and a whole summer to.. stay inside and do absolutely nothing. Can't wait. To drown out the silence, you plug in your headphones to your phone and listen. Shouldn't be too long now, no this'll take forever.. Thanks music.

Time skip to an hour and a half later..

You decide to check in the classroom. It's dark. Everything is empty and black. It seems like everyone has suddenly vanished. Then the lights in the hallways dim until it is pitch black with only the sun peering through the blinds. You can barely hear the announcement speakers ring, they seem to be broken. That's odd.. the office people usually don't stay that long. Especially on days like these.

But.. you hear screaming coming from across the hall. This isn't right, why, why is this happening? It shouldn't be ending yet, it's early. Where is everyone? Great, this is what happens.. I can barely see here.

There it is again someone screams again. You recognize this now. This time with more pain, more agony. No, no but how could he be out of the classroom, I did not see the door open or maybe I was too caught up. No, he would have said something to me. Ah! Focus, Y/N, now isn't the right time.

As you turn the corner of the hall not quite catching your breath, you find yourself speaking these words aloud, "No! What's happening? C/N?!"

You realized the school was in lockdown, no teachers can unlock the doors. Since the intruder is near, that wouldn't be the best idea. How could you have been so blind and deaf to everything around you?

The sound of his scream was the worst thing you've ever heard. It put a pit in your throat and your stomach turned. You run towards the sound still, you need to help him.. even if you could die doing it.

You take a huge gulp.

There he is.

Lying there.

C/N's voice cracked and urgently needed help.

"h   e l p    m e  ."

A drunk man appears to be trying to stab him. Just as he couldn't struggle anymore he stops moving and gives you a last look.

Except that wasn't his last look at you. Because you found yourself again, body just acting out of instinct,
you jump in front of him.

A sharp, piercing pain is felt. You've been stabbed, and again and again. Thankfully the police was called and they were right down the hall. C/N tries to carry you in his arms and sprint away from the man in red.

You look up to him, your eyes fill with tears. Your hands fill with blood. He looks down at you, as if everything was going to be okay. He was crying, too.

C/N: "Hello.. Y/N I'll get help right away.. Thank you for stepping in."
Before passing out, you manage to let out a simple

"hi."
