Chapter 2
Russ sat on the sofa, he was thinking about Cry. He knows he really shouldn’t but he can’t help it, the smaller male was very attractive, even if Russ couldn’t see his face. His body was perfect and small, his hair was beautiful and his voice and attitude. He was always so happy and cheerful, which made his voice so much better, but Cry’s reading voice is godly, it could send anyone’s knees buckling.
Russ thought about what happened last night and how cool Cry was about it. Today he and Cry had gotten so much closer, probably because Cry saw a new kind of Russ, a helpless, crying one. The comforting, the hugging and Cry had Russ in a whirl pool of emotions because he loved Red, but Cry; he loved Cry as a friend and so much more.
Russ walked to Cry’s room to wake him up; when he got to the door he opened it. There, sleeping peacefully was Cry, who was still wearing his mask, curled up in sheets, hair going in all directions, and looking too damn cute in Russ’s opinion. He walked over to the bed and stood next to Cry’s sleeping form, he watched him for a few seconds, taking in the still and peaceful Cryaotic.
He gently shook him.
“Cry, get up.”
He woke up and stared right at Russ and blinked a few times, and then it all clicked in his mind.
“Hey Russ, I’m up. What do you want to do today?”
“Well as its noon, wanna go to the park? It’s fun and it’s outside.”
“Hell yeah I wanna go to the park, who wouldn’t want to go” answered Cry, his cheerful and optimistic side coming out.
“Ok, but bed hair and breathe needs to be sorted.”
Cry and Russ giggled and Cry punched Russ in the shoulder making them giggle more.
“I’m going, I’m going. My face hurts anyway.”
Russ looked down and played with his fingers and moved his feet nervously.
“Maybe that’s because of your mask” he said sheepishly
Cry looked directly at Russ and Russ could feel the glare Cry was giving him.
“Look, sorry man I know you don’t like to show your face, but I didn’t expect you to wear it all the time. Just forget I said anything ok.” Russ walked out the room fast, he couldn’t deal with the emotions and the way he may have fucked everything up.
“Russ! Wait!”
Russ stopped in the hallway, tears threatening to fall.
“I’m not angry Russ, I know it’s a bit new as you’ve only ever spent a night or two with me at a time and usually we’re both drunk and there’s other people around. I was glaring because I didn’t expect that from you.”
Russ turned around, tears on his cheeks.
“I’m so sorry Cry” he started sobbing.
“Russ, don’t cry, I do understand, please stop crying”
Cry hugged Russ; Russ hugged back and cried harder.
“Sorry Cry”
“Hey! What did I say about calling me Cry, its Ryan” Cry said chuckling a bit.
“Ryan, why do you wear your mask?”
Cry got chills from Russ saying his real name and he wasn’t sure why.
“It gives people the chance to know the real me and not my face.”
“Do you trust me?”
“Of course I do”
“Then why hid something like your face from me, I already know who you are and accepted you, what do I have to do Ryan!”
“Russ, you know why I let you move in?”
“No, I don’t because you don’t trust me yet you seem to be alright with me living with you.”
“Russ, I let you move in because I trust you, this conversation proves it. You could have reached across and ripped the mask off my face, but you’re trying to prove yourself trustworthy your waiting and asking me to take the mask off. I trust you to always do that, never just taking but proving yourself and asking.”
“Wow, that’s deep man. I feel like a dick.”
“Should we stay in and play games?”
“I need a cigarette first but If you like”
Cry walks to Russ; tip toed to Russ’s ear and whispered in his Cry reads voice “I was asking you, Russell”. He giggled close to Russ’s ear and darts off to the TV to set up a game.
Russ is frozen to the spot, one by the use of his full name, two the fact that he was really turned on and finally three he was sure if he moved Cry’s voice would consume him.
