Chapter 9- Cute fight and patchup

Chotu got better and he left with keerti and bid his mamu and mami and goodbye. Kaira was sad as they started to miss Karan but kartik felt a little happy as he will now spend some time with this chotu princess. As Naira sat on the sofa and switched the television on, kartik came closer and said "Hi" to the baby. He kissed her stomache and kept talking.

Kartik:" Hi princess, tum kese ho? Tumhe bhook lagi hai kya? Acha nahi, to kab ayegi yeh duniya main? Tumhara papa tumhe bohot pyar karti hai. Main intezaar nahi kar sakte. I want to play with you, please come." Naira smiled but felt a little jealous. She wanted to spend time with him but Kartik was too busy with the chotu. She decided not to speak to him. Kartik looked at Naira and said "Did you eat Naira?"
She pretended not to listen and ignored him. He saw this, asked her again but she didn't speak back. He realised that she might be angry with him.

To lesson her anger, he decided to bring out the big tub of ice cream from the fridge and said "Hmmm, yeh ice cream bohot tasty lag raga hai. Mai sab kalungi." Naira watched this and her mouth felt watery looking at the ice cream. Kartik saw this, sat by her and tried to eat all on his own. He wanted her to speak to him until he heard the words, "mujhe kila do na. Mujhe ice cream kana hai, please?", Naira said. He smiled and said "Kyu? Tum mujhe ignore kar rahi ti aur tum chahti ho ki main kiladun?"
Naira felt guilty and pouted like a child and said "Haan". She said sorry and he forgave her. After all he didn't mean to ignore and just talk to baby.

They both fed each other ice cream, Naira started to fall alseep, Kartik kissed her on the forehead and took her hand in his while he watched television. He kissed her hand and the wedding ring that binded them both in this marriage. He was glad to have her by his side and he too started to drift away in his sleep.
