"Can you feel it?
Now it's coming back we can steal it.
If we bridge this gap,
I can see you
Through the curtains of the waterfall. When I lost it,
Yeah you held my hand,
But I tossed it,
Didn't understand,
You were waiting,
As I dove into the waterfall."The song quietly played in my head as I was exiting my plane.
My entire being was so excited to see my brother again and start a new life. I felt so alive and was ready to live my life the way I was meant to.
After getting out of the terminal I saw this sign that had my name. I walked over to it pulling my carry on suitcase behind me. I was trying to make it over to see who was holding the sign. People were pushing me on their way to get to their destination. I finally got irritated and plowed my way through to reach the sign and meet the holder of it.
It was my brother and Joey.
"Daniel." I cried hugging him. I missed him. I've been out of the states studying linguistics in the gailican communities and I was finally done and able to come home to him.
"Emma." He chuckled hugging me back.
"Hey Joey." Joey said to himself.
I giggled pulling away from Daniel to hug Joey and tell him how no one could forget him. We then began to walk out of the airport and to the car. Inside the car wolf was jumping around and being the adorable dog he was.
"Wolfy!" I chirped as I opened the door and he jumped around at my feet.
"He missed you Emma." Daniel said getting on the drivers side of the car.
"In the car buddy we got to go home!" I chirped pointing to the car.
"He listens to her.. wow." Joey whispered under his breath as wolf obeyed my command.
I just giggled and got in the car. I sat down and wolf rested his head on my lap while I scratched his head. It was a little ways until we would reach home. Perfect time for me to bombarded by questions about my studies overseas.
"Well, how was the Welsh community?" Daniel asked me.
"Very well. Very welcoming actually." I confirmed looking out the window.
"Didn't you want to study linguistics?" Joey asked curiously.
"Yeah, going to be a translator over here." I explained my school choices.
"Joey to answer your next question, yes she speaks Welsh." Daniel chuckled at Joeys intrigueness.
"You do?" He turned around.
"Si Joey fago. En realidade a súa galego." I giggled.
"Woah... What'd you just say?" He googly eyed me.
"Yes Joey I do, Actually It's galician." I repeated.
The rest of the car ride involved questions about Ireland and my experiences and jamming to music until we reached our home finally.
I forgot what this place looked like. I've been in a place full of history for so long I forgot what it looked like to live here in the united states. The modern housing and the trees lining the street. I missed it. I remember when Daniel and Joey first moved in here, it was such a happy time for the both of them and then I had to leave soon after.
