This all just had to be a dream, there was no way this was actually happening.
I must've fell asleep on the plane.
Yeah, that's probably what happened.
I was surrounded by children, none no older than Dylan, and all wearing make shift clothes out of animal pelts. The youngest boy was about four years old, wearing a worn looking shawl that looked like it came from the 50's, which unsettled me. He had big blue eyes, and wispy blonde hair, watching me with evident curiousity.
All the other boys either looked afraid of me, or looked as if they hated me. One boy, who looked about 11 was wrapped in a cape made of bear skin. He was pudgy, with short light brown hair and brown eyes, with a scar running from the end of his eyebrow and curving to halfway past his cheek. He looked furious watching me, his eyes clouded with hatred and emotion.
He almost looked as angry as Peter.
"We said never again Dylan." The bear boy growled, snapping his gaze to the leader, who was still sitting on worn out mattress.
Dylan looked conflicted, glancing between me and Tinker Bell. He let out a wistful sigh, before getting up and walking over to the chubby boy, placing a hand on his shoulder.
"She's important Cub, she met Peter." Dylan explained, although I still didn't understand what significance Peter had. 'Cub' didn't look surprise however, even though all the other boys gasped, instead he narrowed his eyes at me, taking a single step back.
"He probably thought it was her." He bit, crossing his arms in front of his chest.
"Cubby, she had been taken by Hook, and Peter saved her." Dylan emphasized, raising his eyebrows expectantly. At this information, the boys started to become rowdy, protesting the Peter would never do such a thing. Again, claiming that he 'doesn't do that anymore'.
"That doesn't make any of this better!" Cubby snapped, instinctively raising his hand to brush his scar. A pained expression flashed across his face, but he quickly regained his composure, now facing me.
"What's your name?"
"Adi," I spoke quietly, suddenly initimated by the young boy.
"And your age?"
"18."
"She's an adult!" Cubby barked, looking back at Dylan. At once, all the boys took a simultaneous step back. "She belongs with Hook."
I panicked at that, running my fingers nervously through my hair, and shaking my head to Dylan. No way could I go back to Hook, he'll kill me on the spot.
"Tinker Bell thinks she's important. I think we can use her to get Peter back." Dylan argued, with Tinker Bell ringing in support. I watched as the bickered back and forth on how they'd 'deal with me', something I considered particularly rude since I was able to hear everything they were saying.
"How exactly would she do that?" Cubby sighed, frustrated. "Peter is too far gone Dylan, you know that."
"She's his age! Tiger Lily has been too young for a while now to reason with him, and there is no way that Hook would ever try. Adi is the only other adult on the island." Dylan reasoned, motioning wildly with his hands. Although Dylan seemed like the leader, being the oldest and all, it looked as if Cubby was wiser, older somehow, even if he wasn't anything of the sort.
"What if it doesn't work? Or worse," Cubby paused, looking at me with a wistful and defeated look, no longer as angry, "What if she ends up being just like Wendy?"
