We ended up watching my favorite movie, of course, Monte Carlo. It is about a girl who always had a dream to go to Paris. When she actually does, she is mistaken for an heiress and is whisked off to Monte Carlo with her best friend and step sister. Embracing the new identity, the three girls live it up in their new lives, until things go awry, but in the end, everything works out fine. Also, the main character meets her soulmate and they live happily ever after. My dream was similar to that of the main character, but instead I wanted to go to England and I really didn't care if a met my soul mate, or any guy for that matter.

Michael had to go home around 1 o'clock in the morning. When he left, Mel and I put on our pajamas, hopped in bed, and went to sleep. Before I closed my eyes, I heard Mel whisper in my ear, "Happy birthday, Liz." I smiled. It was good to have her around.

The morning sun peeped through a little crack in the window. I got out of bed and to the curtains. I whipped them open, the noise waking Mel up. She turned towards me as I looked out the window.

"Good morning, Miss. Seventeen Year Old," She said, she herself getting out of bed. She walked over to me and we hugged.

"Thank you," I replied.

"For what?" She asked.

"For picking me up last night," I answered.

"You're welcome. I'm always there for you." I smiled thankfully at her. Then, we made our way into the hallway, down the stairs, and into the kitchen. Mom was sitting at the counter with a tall glass of tomato juice. All of her make up was washed off, except for a little eyeliner left over under her eyes. She looked pretty as usual, but just really hungover. I tried giving her my warmest of smiles.

"Good morning, mommy. How you feeling?" I asked. She groaned.

"Drank...too...much..." She managed to say. Mel found it hard holding in her laugh. I did, too. Mom just groaned again and took an Advil. Dad walked in, carrying two trays with breakfast on them for Mel and me. We gasped when we saw there were crepes with various toppings to put on them. He placed the trays down on the counter and we each sat down in the two other available chairs.

Mom's aura seemed to change. She all of a sudden seemed awake. Excited even. I cocked an eyebrow at my two parents. Something wasn't right. I looked at Mel. She sensed it too. We each opened up our crepes to put our toppings on, but what we found weren't the inside of our crepes. There, in the middle of those thin little pancakes were two tickets (one in the middle of hers, and one in the middle of mine). We each scanned our tickets. They were plane tickets...to....to.................to...................ENGLAND?!?!?

"NO FRIGGEN WAY!" I yelled. Mom was fully awake now, and I was starting to doubt she was ever really that hungover in the first place. Mel and I screamed and screamed. We were going to England. TOGETHER! We hugged my parents, and then we hugged each other, and then we were all in a group hug.

I was going to England.
