Chapter One: The Badass Delinquent
~~~Rena~~~
I was currently in a dark and narrow alley because this is the only available short cut to my destination. I saw a few guys surrounding the exit. I continued walking as if I didn't see them. I'm not in the mood to injure people right now. Regardless of what kind of people these guys are. When I was almost outside the alley, a man attempted to grab my butt.
I punched him in the gut to stop him. I know I said I wasn't in the mood but this guy flipped my switch. Try to sexually harass me and you're as good as dead. No guy can ever touch me that casually. This guy has bought his one way ticket to hell. I kicked him so hard that he was outbalanced and fell down on the ground. I grabbed his arm and started to twist it. I was going to break it so he will never to be able to harass any girl again. His companions cowered in fear. As soon as I shortly gave them a glare before they ran away as quickly as they could.
"So much for your companions. Scaredy cats aren't they?" I sneered.
They were utterly useless. Not dependable. Not worthy of being called nakama. Nakama never leave each other. Well at least my gang members aren't like this guy. They know the true meaning of nakama. (T/N: nakama = companion/s)
I twisted it with more force this time. Making it hurt a lot more.
"Ahhhhhhh!!!", he screamed in pain. Okay. He really needs to man up. That was a moderate amount of pain. It wouldn't really hurt that much unless you're such a wimp that you can't endure it.
Sheesh. This guy is too weak for me to actually enjoy beating him up. My gang members can even handle this guy. I'm rapidly loosing the interest in fighting this guy. He's not even passable as a low rank fighter. He is not worthy to be called an opponent. Well, I have no interest in calling for the gang to finish up. After all, I'm solitary, I work alone.
"That's enough Rena!" a voice demanded. I momentarily froze in recognition of the owner of the voice. I could never forget that voice. I would forget if got brainwashed which isn't really a bad idea now. Another method is getting hit by a car, having amnesia which I am tempted to try at this very moment.
"Onii-sama, long time no see," I greeted, "It's nice to see you and all but as you can see I'm busy," I added while gesturing at the guy I was seconds away from beating up. (T/N: onii = older brother)
"Let him go," Subaru commanded with authority. He sounded angry and I seriously don't want to start a fight with him.
I frowned. Before letting the guy go, I whispered into his ear, "Repeat what you did and next time you won't just go home with a broken arm." With that I was satisfied with myself and finally let go.
He quickly nodded in understanding. Fear was present on his face. That's good. I let go of his arm. He ran without even looking back.
"When will you stop these meaningless fights!? Mom is very worried because of all of the trouble you've been causing," Subaru scolded. Here we go again. Such the nagger my brother is. He's always been giving me lectures.
I rolled my eyes and started to leave.
"Hold it right there. I'm not done yet." Stopping in my tracks, I turned to face him.
"Your teachers have been complaining to the principal that they don't have grades to compute. You haven't gone to school in a long time. Even if you're enrolled and registered," Subaru said with a strained voice.
He is Dad's successor so he has to show up at many meetings. He still has to prove to the world that he's ready and suited for the job so I'm pretty sure that he's jaded. I couldn't even handle a meeting with the friendly lower-rank workers but he has to deal with the intimidating upper-ranks.
