Leo remembered 5 years later. His promise. A promise to a very special girl that he had to keep. He rushed to Jason's cabin, and shook him awake. "I need to borrow your ship."
"What?! Dude, you gotta be joking." Jason groggily replied. "Nah man, I really need it. I made a promise I have to keep."
"Where are you going?" Jason questioned, sitting up.
"To Calypso."
"Oh. I see. Go man, go get your girl." Jason urged.
Leo thanked him quickly, and bolted to the docks. He awoke Festus, the head of the ship, and off they sailed.
The first trouble came 2 days into their journey. A rumbling began to shake the vessel as they moved towards a large river. Leo had mapped out his course, and he hoped it would lead him to the love of his life, but he hadn't taken into account the monsters he would face. A slimy figure rose from the depths and turned to face him.
"WHO MIGHT YOU BE LAD? DINNER?" The creature bellowed. "Umm, not really." Leo mumbled, fishing around in his tool belt for anything useful. The first thing he pulled out was a screwdriver. "Very funny Dad, HELP ME!" He pulled out small tool after tool, cursing at Hephaestus along the way, until he got it, a large vial of Greek fire. "HERES SOME DINNER BIG BOY!" Leo cried as he chucked the vial into the monsters mouth just as he yawned. A couple seconds passed, and then it exploded. Monster guts splattered the deck as he sailed past, and Leo cringed at the disgusting smell.
The monsters appeared once a day, until close to a week later, Leo stumbled upon his destination. Calypso's island. He shrieked with joy, and practically swan dived off of the boat to find her. He wandered the island for a few minutes, trying to get his bearings, and he finally found her cave. He cautiously entered, calling her name. "Calypso? It's Leo, I'm back!" He walked to the back of the cave, and there she was. Sitting at her loom, her back to him. Slowly, he tapped her on the shoulder, and she faced him. Her face was a mix of emotions, confusion, then happiness, and then pure joy.
"Leo? Leo, oh my gods it's really you!" She was overcome with tears of joy, and Leo smiled. "I have one more surprise for you Calypso," he said, pulling a decorated bag out of his belt. "Look inside." She took the bag gingerly from him, and peered inside. Her face paled, then reddened. "Leo..." "I have a question for you Calypso. Will you marry me?"
Calypso dried her tears and looked him directly in the eyes. "You dummy, of course. I love you, and I always will. Yes!"<3
