"Len, there is no way you're getting an autograph from her. She's more interested in music than some blonde boy who wants to fuck her," Cul says as we walk out of the auditorium.
Len grimaces. "Yeah, I doubt she's not gonna wanna see a dumb redhead fangirl either," Len grumbles back.
Dell sighs. "Y'know, you don't have to come to the meet-up," he responds. The two don't do anything and then resume the heated conversation. Dell groans.
We walk around a little bit until Rin spots an ice cream stand by the signature booth. Of course, she tugs us over there until we finally give up in defeat and follow her. We sit down on the seats by the exit, and eat our ice cream. Everything's cool and all until Len looks down at his watch.
"Guys, it's midnight," Len says as he tosses his wrapper in a trash bin behind us.
Rin shrugs. "Why the hell do we care," she spits.
Len snickers. "Midnight's when the signing stops. The band has already closed up shop."
I feel a dark feeling drop in my chest. I just missed my chance to talk to the band. The Megurine Luka herself. My idol.
I shake and get up from my spot. My ice cream wobbles back and forth along with my weak knees. I swiftly open the door to the women's restroom and fall to the ground in defeat.
Tears well up in my eyes as I attempt to keep my posture. I can't keep anything up anymore, so my face drifts towards the floor as water spills out of my eyes and I begin to sob.
I missed it, the one chance I had. I had loved SING ever since high school, even then it was small. I especially loved the lead singer, a thin pinkette with beaming blue eyes. Her face was just so beautiful, her nice voice strong but also smoothing. She was perfect, I had waited years to watch her live. This was my first chance to talk to her and I blew it. I fucking blew it.
I bag up enough determination to look at myself through the mirror. My tomato face is drenched in crocodile tears. I can't really see anything through my wet eyelids, so I refuse to look up again.
A slam echoes through the tiny room. I glance to my right to see an empty bathroom stall open. Right next to it stands a skinny asian girl with bright pink hair fidgeting with an untied belt.
I quickly jerk my head back to the mirror, I really don't want to get involved with another fangirl. However, there's only three sinks and she just happened to grab the one next to me. I cringe, waiting for an annoying high-pitched voice to comment on my "cosplay." Instead, I'm greeted with a deep woman's voice with soft vowels and a strong undertone.
"You do know the concert is over, right?" asks the pinkette. I shuffle my feet together and ponder the answer. I nod.
"Well, why aren't you at home?" I grimace and squeeze my hands together. This annoying fangirl must either be blind or deaf, because she clearly can't see anything about me. I decide to send her home with at least some harsh honesty, she probably has never heard it before.
"I missed the signing and now I'm tearing myself apart because I didn't get an autograph from my idol," I say, trying to hold the tears back in my eyes. She probably will and never care about my problems, I immediately regret saying anything.
"Well, she'll probably give you an autograph now, she's still here."
I refrain from laughing out loud, she's obviously lying. Until she does something that completely knocks me back.
"Look, she's right in front of you. She'll do anything for a fan. Even say her name."
The cosplayer steps back and smiles ear-to-ear.
"Megurine Luka."
