Me and my best friend maya are like sisters.
We're always glad to see each other after a long trip and we always share our deepest secrets. We would always mess around and NEVER judge each other on our looks,fashion, makeup or anything. Sometimes we pretend were twin sisters cause we were born on the same day, but I was older by 2 seconds. I was the older one, and she was the adventurous one, so I always look out for her. Nothing would separate us. But that was all about to change...
One day we woke up to a surprise. IT WAS SNOWING. I rushed to mays house. "Hey maya it's snowing" I shouted at the top of my voice. The second after that i heard "WHAT" then banging and the next thing I know she's out the front door. "What happened?" I asked."never mind. The only thing we should have in mind is...ICE SKATING " We both agreed that we would go ice skating on the frozen lake so we did but little did we know that it was thin ice.we kept skating and making crakes in the ice at the same time until. ..SNAP!!! The ice under maya craked and with the blink of an eye she was under water. I stared in horror. I knew maya couldn't swim so I ran to the nearest house and banged on the door. in just a few seconds an old lady with a pink robe and curlers in her hair peeked out the door. "Yes young girl, can I help you?" She sweetly asked " I NEED TO CALL AN AMBULANCE. My friend just fell into thin ice and she can't swim" I screemed. This when she turned in to flash and dashed to he other side of the house grabbing her coat and her shoes on her way. She grabbed the phone and ran back. We both dashed back to the lake and on the way, calling the ambulance. " hello, yes I need and ambulance in Cymer street by the lake. A girl just fell under thin ice."the lady kept giving details until we got there. But I couldn't see maya. I'd only been gone a couple of minutes.that was until I saw the blur on maya's coat l. Without thinking I jumped into the water with a splash. I heard the lady calling "wait come back wait" but it was too late, I was already down there. I kept swimming down until I found maya. I grabbed he and started swimming up. I could hear the sirens of the ambulance getting louder . when we got up the the surface I saw the old woman talking to a man in blue clothes. The they came rushing to words us the man pulled maya up and put her on one of the beds; putting a mask over her face and the old woman hauled me up and gave me a hug."oh my goodness, don't you ever do that again. You scared the living dead out of me." She said. "I'm fine,really"I said with a smile on my face" just a bit cold" " well let's go get a blanket and follow the ambulance back to the hospital, we'll

We both slowly walked to the old lady's house. Then the old lady looks at me and says" oh, how rude of me, I haven't told you my name. I'm clare wallerbager but you can call me Mrs wallerbager" She said sweetly "and you are..." " oh, I'm clover but all my friends call me lucky" I said will a fake smile plastered across my face. After a 5 minute walk we were at her house "come in lucky. Here, but this blanket around you." She gave me a blue and pink pokerdot blanket. She took the curlers out of her hair and went up stairs to get changed. About 2 minutes later she came back down stairs. " well, let's go get your friend" She said as she hopped into her car. We drove back to the lake and the ambulance was just leaving. " well, we're lucky. Let's go follow them. Oh and by the way, what's your friends name?" She asked. " maya, her names maya."
As we followed the ambulance to the hospital, I was thinking all the horrible things that could have happened to maya. I imagines the surgens doing the electric shocks on her, then the TV thing beeping until... beeeeeeeeeppppppppp.
No, it can't be. She's going to be alright, I hope. As the ambulance pulled up the doors smashed open and two men wearing blue carried her into the building.Then, as we stepped out out the car, a woman with short, blond hair and pink lipstick walked towards us." Hi, you must be clover. I'm Rachel. That was brave of you to jump in the water like that." She said with a high-pitched voice. " thanks" I screeched. "Well, is it ok if we run a couple of tests on you just to make sure your ok" She said. I REALLY wanted to say no, I really hate hospitals, but I already new they were going to do it anyway, so to save my the trouble I said "sure" with a fake smile plastered across my face " wonderful, let's go inside then" She screeched again. She started talking to Mrs wallerbager about how she new me and all but I was terrified for me and maya. When we went inside the Rachel took us down a long hallway. That's when Mrs wallerbager went into a room, leaving us. " Hey, where's Mrs wallerbager going" I said as the woman dragged me down the hall. " oh, don't worry my sweet , Mrs wallerbager has just gone to ring your parents , she'll be back soon" She said with a smile in her face. " I hope" I muttered.
