A few hours later
"BORK" Aphmau can hear Celestia yap as she runs down the stairs. She's going full speed, and almost runs straight into the door until she stops dead about an inch in front of it. She continues to bark until the door handle turns. The door opens and Aaron walks in. "Aaron... you're home early." Aphmau says curiously. "Yeah, there was a... mixup... at work" Aaron says, slowing his words. It's now or never. I need to ask him now. "Aaron... we need to talk" Aphmau says, starting to worry about what her response will be. "Uuhhh... o...k..?" He gestures to the couch. "What's up?" Aaron asks, he has a casual tone. Aphmau starts to grow weary. "You've been.... or of the house... a lot lately. I wouldn't mind it if you would just... tell me why. It's just so sudden you are almost never home!" she says, starting to grow angry at the thought. "Listen.... I really wish I could be home more. But I need to work more for reasons I can't tell you." He said, almost sympathetically. This made Aphmau even more angry and confused. Why couldn't he tell her anything? Couldn't he trust her? "Why can't you tell me? Do--- do you not trust me?" she says, choking down sobs. "No, Aph, it's not that----" he gets interrupted. "then WHY CAN YOU TELL ME? you're HIDING things Aaron. and i'm absolutely TIRED OF IT. what's the point of us being together if you can't even trust me enough to tell me why you are getting all of these jobs?" she asks again. Aaron grows angry. "Aphmau. LISTEN TO ME." he starts to yell. "I wish i could tell you. i really do." he's interrupted. "Then WHY DONT YOU?" Aaron has lost it. "APHMAU! THERE ARE REASONS I CANT TELL YOU. YOU DONT UNDERSTAND." "JUST TELL ME AARON." Aphmau begins to yell also. "UGH! YOU DONT UNDERSTAND. IM DONE WITH THIS. YOU OBVIOUSLY DONT TRUST ME." He grabs his phone and his car key from the side table, and storms out the door. He's opens the door, hesitates, but doesn't look back. He slams the door shut. "FINE!" Aphmau yells. after a few seconds of silence, she finds herself in an empty room, Eli and Celeste have retreated upstairs to stay away from the yelling and fighting. There's complete silence.
She finds herself alone.
