The incongruity of Lleyton Addison's mere existence was his binding ability to put his self in the friend zone. He was trapped; he knew it, and he was the very reason of it.

If he wasn't so enamored by Maeve Roisin's irrevocably frizzy hair, wild hazel eyes, and bewitching pink lips he could have any girl he wanted.

Lamentably he was so far gone in love with Maeve he denied it profusely to himself. He had too. He knew he couldn't be in love with his best friend if he were dating her cousin. That's just wrong, but it felt so natural to love Maeve.

Lleyton and Maeve had been friends since high school, and Saoirse, Maeve's cousin, had been after Lleyton since then. Lleyton hadn't paid any attention to Saoirse's apparent crush on him. Instead, he placed his focus on his music.

Once Lleyton graduated from high school, lacking the support of his parents, he moved to California to settle into the music scene. Everyone he knew thought he was crazy because he gave up a baseball scholarship to chase after some non-existent dream.

Maeve was the only person who didn't think he was losing his mind and to show her support she followed him to California.

Maeve's parents thought she was a little bonkers, but the girl had been offered a full ride to UCLA. And as long as she kept up her studies her and Lleyton would remain to be inseparable.

Four years later, Lleyton Addison had a record deal and several millions of dollars pooling around him, and his dear friend Maeve had earned a diploma with the highest honors to decorate her gown around her neck.

Two years later and Lleyton Addison is Hollywood's golden boy, and Maeve Roisin is every preschooler's favorite teacher.

The two seemed like an unlikely friendship, but it worked.

Well, it was working until Saoirse moves to town.
