Pegasus Book 4 Alternate Ending

Back at Olympus

Joel sat on his bed deep in thought. So no one remembers what happened, after all that we went through only Emily and I remember. Thought Joel as he stared at Olympus. Everything that happened, he finally confessed to Emily and she thinks he doesn't remember. Joel sighed and got up to meet Paelen and Emily at the Silver Lake. He got up and changed into his swim trunks. He knocked on Emily's door, she answered in a plain blue bathing suit but she looked beautiful. Joel had a sudden flashback to the kiss they shared in Greece and his face turned a bright red. When she saw Joel she did the same, staring and blushing. "You look great," Joel said awkwardly.

"Thanks, you to," replied Emily,"let's go."

"O-okay" They walked together side by side silently. As they neared the lake he took her hand. Emily, startled jumped and looked at him.

EMILY'S PERSPECTIVE

They walked in silence and out of the blue Joel held her hand. She looked up at him to see his warm, smile. She wished that Joel would have remembered the kiss, she did truly love him but sadly fate had other plans. She felt her face redden as she stared into his eyes. She quickly looked away and stared at the ground. "Oh, um sorry that was weird I didn't know what I was doing-" Joel rambled but she cut him off.

"It's fine Joel," she said and Joel blushed. She smiled and pulled him forward hand in hand towards the Silver Lake. Paelen was already swimming when they got there, he stared at the two for a moment and then went back to what he was doing. Joel released Emily's hand and ran to the lake. Emily watch as they splashed each other. Emily soon joined them and snuck up behind them. She splashed them and they turned around, suprised to see her, then they birst out laughing.

"You should have seen you faces!" Emily said.

"Nice one Em, but we'll get you back," Joel replied.

"Really? How?" Joel looked over at Paelen and he smirked. Then, they created a huge wave of water splashing Emily. They started laughing again and Emily could feel Riza was laughing too. they continued to enjoy splashing each other.

After a while, Jupiter called them to come to his palace. Because of there discovery of the origins of the flame he wanted to hold a banquet in celebration. They headed back to there rooms to get ready.

JOEL'S PERSPECTIVE

When they finished getting ready they went to Jupiter's palace where music and food filled the halls. Cupid came up to Emily and said, "Why hello Flame."

"Cupid, how many times do I have to tell you, her name is Emily!" Paelen said like he always does whenever Cupid calls her "Flame".

"I'm sorry but I don't think I was talking to you thief." Paelen started to run towards cupid but Joel held him back.

"I am NOT a thief anymore!"

"Come on you guys," Emily said,"can't you two not fight for just one day? This is a party, so lets enjoy it." She walked away and Joel followed her. They sat together at the table near what looked like to be a make shift stage. Music was playing and a few Olympians and Nirads where dancing. Joel got up and held his hand out to Emily.

"Want to dance?" he asked. She took his hand and he led her to the dance floor. Emily was jumping up and down to the beat of the music. Joel did the same and they had a great time. Then a slow song came on and they looked at each other awkwardly. "Um.. do you want to.." Joel said.

"Sure," replied Emily. He raped his arms around her waist and she put her arms around his neck. They began to dance and at fist it was a bit awkward. Then thing started to loosen up. Eventually her head was on his shoulder. She's so close. What it I...... Joel thought, but he felt Emily pull away and stare at him. A split second later she kissed him. Joel, shocked stood there. Then he realized what was happening and pulled her closer. This is just like in Greece. they broke the kiss and there faces looked like tomatoes. They stared into each others eyes and were interrupted when Jupiter went on stage.
