Almost Time to Go

EMILY'S PERSPECTIVE

"Em, I have something to tell you," Joel started but was interrupted by Paelen.
"So this is where you two went." Both Joel and Emily blushed. They stepped away from each other and Emily stared at her feet.
"It's not like that," Joel said.
"Oh really? Then what were you two doing?" They stayed silent for a while before answering.
"I came out here to think and so did Joel, we didn't know that either one of us was out here." Emily told him. Paelen looked at her suspiciously
"Okay then.... you two are needed back at the party. It's about the trip to Xandua." When they heard of the trip they practically ran back to the palace. They found Emily's dad and Diana standing next to Jupiter.
"Where were you two!?" Steve scolded.
"Dad we just went to clear our heads, but that's not important right now. Jupiter, we were told you wanted to tell us more about why I was going?" Jupiter nodded.
"Yes I have decided that you shall leave in five days, you must prepare yourself for along trip. We are not certain how long this will take." As he said this he glanced over at Joel. Steve placed his hand Emily's shoulder.
"Are you sure?" he asked.
"Yes, it all depends on how much Emily has to learn."
Then Riza spoke out from Emily,"There is much she still has to learn about the Xan and her powers"
"That is all, in five days time you shall leave." With that everyone walked off. Steve and Diana returned to the party while Joel and Paelen headed in another direction talking quietly. Emily headed to her room, after all of this she felt drained.

It was early the next morning and Emily got up and groaned. She had been hoping that what happened last night had been all one bad dream, but she saw her party dress hanging on a chair. She got up and quickly got dressed. She rushed out the door to find Pegasus. She needed a ride to help clear her head. She found him with her father and Pegasus nudged her in greeting.
"Hey Pegs, morning dad," Emily said.
"Morning Em, where are you of to?" he asked.
"Just going out for a ride."
"Alright then." Emily then walked away with Pegasus.

JOEL'S PERSPECTIVE

After his talk with Paelen Joel wished he could talk with Emily, but there was something stopping him. He wasn't sure how he felt. He was sad Emily had to leave, mad a Jupiter for making her go alone,
