Zane (Pov)

I growled as I saw two of them tailing me after we scattered, at least if they get me they'll probably give up on catching them. I quickly jumped up a tree, climbing it quickly before taking a small break to regain my breathe. I swiftly jumped to another branch as I heard the tree being climbed.

"Heh heh heh, come 'ere, Kitten. Make this easier for all of us," one said smugly. I hissed jumping to another tree. My ears flattened at the site of the other man being so close to me. I climbed higher up as I felt his hand barely graze my tail. I jumped from tree to tree as the man followed.

I heard something whiz through the air and I turned my attention towards. Immediately, a shooting pain coursed through my right eye, knocking me off balance. I screeched in pain before I fell off the branch I was on. I hit the ground with a loud thud, knocking the wind out of me. I quickly stood in a defensive stance as I stared at the man.

"Maxan, remember. Capture not kill!"

The man in front of me simply nodded before cracking a smile. He ran at me, tackling me down to the ground. I swung my hand at him, my claws raking through the skin on his cheek. He pinned my hand above my head, I could not move.

I saw him pull a syringe out of his coat pocket. It pricked into my side and slowly as minutes passed sleep washed over me. A faint chuckle could be heard.

"Night, night, Kitty~"
