Garroth (Pov)

I awoke in a dark room. I searched around quickly, pinning my ears down. My tails fluffed up as I heard the door open, a male figure walking in. I cautiously stalked towards him, staying my distance from him. He turned and saw me, he gave me a smile before turning on the lights.

"Hey, little fella~," the man said before sitting down on the floor, showing he meant no harm. I slowly approached him, still on guard.

I examined every feature of him; tan skin, fluffy light brown hair, and sky blue eyes. He had a very calming aura about him and he smelled like berries. My ears unpinned as he seems to be friendly. He gave a soft chuckle before giving me a gentle pet.

I almost relaxed from his touch but then a thought ran through my head. One of my baby brothers is hurt and probably just bought from the market while the other one could be all alone in our home, he could be scared or in the same situation I'm in. I whimpered at the thought, wishing they were both with me.

"Hey, don't be scared. I'm not gonna hurt you," the man said calmly. I sat there swimming in my thought, guilt making me sick. I could feel tears welling up at the corner of my eyes as I held in another whimper.

"I wish I knew what's wrong," I heard the man whispered to himself.

"I miss my kin," I said oh so silently.
