"Rhiannon rings like a bell through the night and wouldn't you love to love her" misty quietly sung to herself as she wandered through the house.
"Miss Cordelia?" She called out. She had already looked in the green house, but her headmistress was no where to be found. Suddenly she heard a voice from the kitchen
"He wanted to hurt my girls....?" It was Cordelia, misty could tell just from the sound of her voice. She rushed to the doorway of the kitchen, to see Fiona, Marie, and Cordelia all siting at the table. She couldn't understand what they were talking about, but she heard the words 'Hank' and 'witch hunter' And her blood boiled. She didn't know much about Hank, but she did know how he betrayed Miss Cordelia. And that alone was enough of a reason to hate him. When he showed up in the greenhouse, it took every fiber of Misty's self control not to fling him across the room.
Suddenly she was snapped out of her thoughts as Fiona abruptly stood up. She raised her hand as if she was going to hit Marie. But she skipped right past Marie.
"No" misty thought "she's going for Delia" as soon as Fiona was a foot away from Cordelia, Misty screamed "NO" and flung her hand up, without even thinking.
Fiona was knocked straight onto her backside, looking up at misty, with great ferocity.
"Shit misty. What the hell did you just do?" She thought to herself. But still, she payed no attention to Fiona as she rushed over to Cordelia.
"Misty, I-"
"Who the hell do you think you are?" Fiona spat, rising off the ground, closing the distance between herself and Misty, so their faces were inches away from each other.
Misty knees became weak out of fear. Hell, she had just knocked over the goddamn supreme. Could she get any stupider?
But one look at Cordelia and Misty knew she had done the right thing. Cordelia looked so frazzled and helpless. All misty could think about was protecting her. Miss Cordelia took misty in when no one else gave a damn about her. Delia was her bestfriend. She was the Lindsey to her Stevie. And even though Misty cared about Delia as more than a friend, she told herself it would never happen. "Cordelia is flawless. She could never love someone like you Misty, stop day dreaming." But this still didn't stop her from wanting to protect Delia. So she mustered up all her courage and shakily said
"Listen Miss Fiona, I respect you as my supreme, but I do not respect you as a person"
"You think I care what some uneducated, swamp witch thinks of me?" Fiona sneered as she stood back and lit herself a cigarette.
"You're all wrong about miss cordelia, you know. She's not worthless like you say she is. She has so much power within her, it radiates off of her. But you put her down so goddamn often, she suppresses it. She doesn't want to be mocked by you so she keeps her powers hidden away."
"Okay, maybe she does radiate power as you say, that still doesn't mean anyone gives a damn about her"
"That's where you're wrong again Miss. I care about her. She saved my life and i don't know where I'd be without her. I would drop anything just to be with her, she's my Rhiannon. I love and care about her" Misty whispered, everyone's eyes on her. "Shit mist don't do this now. Not in front of everyone" she thought to herself.
"A-and the rest of the girls, queenie, Zoe, Madison, Nan. They all care about Miss Cordelia. They all love her m-more than you will ever know" Misty sputtered, hoping no one noticed that she had just openly admitted to being in love with Cordelia.
"Hmph. You're something else, swamp witch." Fiona chuckled as she shook her head and walked out of the room.
Marie Laveau rose from her seat, following Fiona out the door. Before exiting, she stopped as if she was about to say something. But she just smirked and kept on walking.
For the first time, Misty looked down at Cordelia sitting in her seat. Cordelia's eyes were filled with admiration and tears. "Goddammit why does she have to be so adorable?" Misty thought
"Misty, thank you. Thank you so much. You're the only person that's ever stood up for me like that." She rose from the seat, wrapping misty in a tight embrace.
The only thing Misty could do to keep herself from crying was to distract herself. She loved Cordelia so goddamn much it hurt. So, to hold back the tears, she decided to make herself a bagel.
"And I'll make sure my mother doesn't spin this out of proportion. Knowing her, she'll probably be telling everyone that you're in lov-"
"I meant everything I said miss Cordelia." Misty whispered as she spread cream cheese on her bagel.
"I know Mist, but I'm talking abo-"
"I meant that stuff too" Misty turned away from Cordelia, her face burning red with embarrassment. How could she be so dumb? She literally just admitted to being in love with Cordelia, who she had zero chance with.
As soon as she went to take a bite of her bagel, Cordelia stepped closer and wrapped her arms around Misty's waist.
"For the record, you're my Rhiannon, Misty Day," she whispered as she pecked Misty's cheek, and taking her bagel out of her hand. "Come on, we have a lot to do in the greenhouse," she laughed as she took a bite of the bagel and slipped to the door. "Takes to the sky like a bird in flight and, who will be her lover?" She sang
Misty's stomach as filled with butterflies. Even though Delia hadn't come out and said it, Misty knew that was her way of saying she loved her back. And quite honestly, she couldn't wait to work in the greenhouse with her.
