I glanced anxiously down at my phone for what seemed like the hundreth time in the last minute. I returned my phone back to its place in my pocket and began pacing the sidewalk once again. My breathing was heavy my palms sweat. Where is he? He should have been here by now. He has all my stuff I can't go without him. Back and forth. Up and down the sidewalk I continued to pace. Why is he late? I only asked him to grab a few things. I dug my hand back into my pocket and check the time again. One fifty-three. Olny a minute since the last time I checked. I let out a huff of air as I put my phone back and crossed my arms and resumed pacing the sidewalk that overlooked the parking lot waiting for him to roll up with my things. Back and forth, Up and down, Left and right. Repeat. Where was he...? I was so caught up in looking for him I didn't notice someone approaching me until I ran into them, Before I could fall down he wrapped his hands around my wrists and pulled me closer to him to keep my on my feet. He had blonde hair with a few streaks of brown in it, much like mine, and his eyes remained hidden behind a pair of dark sunglasses.
"Sorry, I didn't see you," he started, His voice was husky and had an accent I couln't decipher. "Are you okay- you seem pretty wound up."
He still hadn't released my arms so I snached them away from the stranger before answering. He was taken aback by my response and put his hands up in surrender.
"I'm fine. Just... waiting, for someone," I informed him.
"Who? Is he a friend or ,like, your ride or something? I could take you somewhere if you need. But I get it if you don't want to. I mean, you just met and for all you know I could be a murderer, but I'm not in case you were wondering, so you really don't have anything to -"
"You talk way to freaking much, did you know that?" I inturruped him.
"Sorry. Bad habit I guess. I'm Niall," the unnamed man, now known as Niall, introduced himself.
"I didn't ask for your name," I spat at him.
"Sorry. But you know now, so would you mind telling me yours?" he asked timidly sratching the back of his head.
"No thanks," I shot back.
"Well why not?" he asked with a bit more edge in his voice. He seemed offend that I refused to tell him my name.
"I can, but I'm choosing not to because I'm a government agent and if I reveal any classified information about myself, like my name, I'll have no choice but to kill you." He shoved his hands in his pockets and looked at the groung having recived the message that I wasn't going to tell him my name but was completely oblivious to the fact that I wanted him to leave because his feet remained glued to the concrete beneath him.
I reached back into my pocket and took out my cell phone prepared to call the my friend, my patience wearing thin for having to wait so long, but as soon as my phone was in my hand he rolled up on his skateboard with all the things I asked him for.
"Took you long enough," I said as he started to hand me my skateboard and backpack.
"Well you try skating down the street with all this extra crap!" he exlaimed. I rolled my eyes and put on my bag, sat my board on the ground getting ready to leave but not before I turned to Niall and saying , "See you around Blondie," with a prominant smirk on my face and rode into the mall.
"Who was that guy?" my friend, Ryan asked as he rode along beside me.
"No one important," I responded.
"Well why was he-" he was cut off by the yelling of a security gaurd.
"HEY YOU KIDS, THERE'S NO SKATING ALLOWED IN THE MALL!" he bellowed.
