Her brother had gotten her a rosewood red camisole that was sort of low cut and a black pleated miniskirt. Digging further into the plastic bag, she found her labeled "For Work Only, Nerd :)" make up set.

She didn't even know it existed in her cupboard. Picking it up with the tip of her little finger, a piece of notepaper fluttered onto the tiled flooring.

Hey there twinny, don't waste your good looks ^^. & let your hair down cause one does not simply tie a half-assed ponytail even if the person in mention wanted to be a nerd. And its good for your brother's reputation.

Calie wanted to shred the paper into bits but she was starting to feel excited. Fingering the material, she rolled her eyes to herself and put all the blame on her female hormones.

She would be the bad ass girl.

Just for one day.

* (From Aiden's Point Of View)

His face fell slightly as he couldn't find the face of someone he was hoping to be in the same class.  Most of the people were just sitting alone, chilling. The "oh-its-a-different-class-who-are-they-all" effect.

"So, I guess everyone's here." The teacher who he had yet to know the name of smiled towards the class.

"Not!" A guy who he inferred to be one of the populars called out. Aiden found him a little familiar.

The teacher ignored him. "We have a new student joining us, his name is Aiden. Do welcome him!"

He gave a smile as the teacher directed him to one of the back seats. It was side by side to another empty seat which he supposed was the person that had yet to come.

"So," the teacher continued. "I will be your form teacher until your real form teacher returns to school as she is on a course. And who is this Calie who is late?"

Aiden was beginning to feel that his partially damaged pride was worth it.

The door opened right on cue. A girl entered and all the attention was transferred to her. Her long ash brown hair which was waterfall braided was swinging sideways as she entered like a shampoo commercial. He also noted with a little distaste the length of her skirt.

So she wasn't her. She had a totally different style.

But yet she looked intensely familiar.

She muttered and the teacher directed her to the seat beside him. She approached and sat down. Then she took a look at him.

* (From Calie's Point Of View)

"Sorry teacher, I sat on some of the freshly painted benches this morning-" She said breathlessly. She scanned the classroom, her gaze falling on her brother to which the direction she shot a quick menacing glare.

He returned with a grin and a thumbs up.

"Oh, okay. Take your seat, its the only one left."

Calie found the only empty seat, sarcastic about the coincidence that her seat at the back would totally fit her new image.

Walking with her head down from all the attention, she rested her bottom on her seat and put down her bag. She gave a casual glance at the guy next to her.

He had warm chocolate eyes, which were covered by-

Calie stopped in the midst of her glance and she looked down again.

"Do I know you?

Calie raised her head immediately, flashing him what she hoped looked like a smile.

"You may be mistaken. Theres this other girl called Calie who is also in the same level who looks somehow like me yeah and shes a damn nerd you wouldn't want to associate with." Calie rattled off.

"Oh," Aiden replied, his tone colder.

From the side of her eye, she could see him taking out his handphone and start texting.

"So, uhm, what's your name?"She made a feeble attempt at conversation.

"Aiden."

C: "Ohhhh..."

C: "So what's your favourite colour?"

A: "..Brown?"

C: .....

C: "What animals do you like?"

A: "Why are you asking me questions?"

"Uhm-"

Her handphone started to vibrate.

Crap did he text-

Aiden raised an eyebrow.

"Yeah my handphone is on vibrating because I put it on silent."

"......"

"Cause I set it on alarm everyday this time because on some days during the holidays I had to wake up. At this time." Calie added. After uttering her words, she slowly face palmed herself with the hand facing Aiden, resting the elbow on the tabletop. She knew she was sounding like a retard and making matters worse the more and more she said.

She could totally feel his bemused gaze. It was so awkward it was out of her comfort zone.

"So do you have a girlfriend?" Calie tried to change the topic.

Too digging the "new image thing" what the crap what the crap what the crap

"Its okay you don't have to answer it-" She said shrilly.

"Please pay attention, Miss." The teacher called out. "Kindly refrain from chatting too much."

Calie could see wild actions from the left. Her brother shot her a smirk and a "I know" look.
