Circus

The book itself is gonna start slow and then escalate from there, so bare with me! And let me know of any spelling errors, I tend to read over them as I automatically correct them as I read 😭.

"Oi, Mystery!" Joker called, referring to the (h/c) haired female.

"Yes?" I answered back, fond of my circus name.

"Come back 'ere would ya?" he yelled, already walking to the tents in the back, where the main acts lived. I followed not far behind, but curious of what he was doing, and why he was taking me to the back.

"Why are you taking me back here? I thought I wasn't supposed to be back here? And isn't there a show going on?" I bombarded him with questions, hoping to get an answer.

"Oh yes, there is a show goin' on t'night." he chuckled, making me uneasy and on edge.

I stepped over the electric wire and continued to follow joker until we reached the very back of the tents. The whole main crew was there. All looking relatively angry.

"You aren't our 'Mystery,' but you sure are one. We've found out that you're actually (Full name). An assassin sent out to investigate missing children from (Lastname) Corporation. The first branch. And now, we've brought you back here to end your possible threat to us." Beast spoke, bringing out her whip. And everyone else bringing out theirs. Dagger stood next to Beast, he'd grown close to me over the past few weeks.

Without making too much movement, I got my arm to release the dagger sheathed in my left sleeve.

"Well, I guess that means I'll have to eliminate the threat to the city then." Before I had time to fully pull out the knife. Dagger threw one of his knives at me slicing my arm. Followed by Beast swinging her massive whip, wrapping around my arm and causing a deep gash on my back.

Falling back some, I decided I'd have to rely on my gun, a  Colt Peacemaker: A six-shot revolver. The pistol was light but had a kick with each shot.

Pulling out from its holster on my thigh, I began firing, aiming at the biggest threats. I decided to start with the daring Beast, the whip caused the most damage. Aiming, I shot her in the abdomen, causing her to double over. She'd only die by blood loss. But I wanted her alive. And it's hurt like hell to swing her whip with that wound. That was one bullet gone out of six, that is, if I remembered to re-load.

Second, I decided to shoot one of the siblings on the trapeze. If I shot one, the other would be unable to fight me alone. Unless they have skills I don't know of. I decide to aim for Wendy. She was the faster of the two, which would make killing Peter that much easier. Aiming, I fired, on point too, if Dagger hadn't lodged another knife in my shoulder, it was a small and durable knife. But it was painful.

I made a quick turn and shot Dagger in his throwing arm, or well, tried too. Joker, who I forgot was there, jabbed the knife lodged in my shoulder deeper. Causing me to drop to the ground in pain. With that as a distraction, the twins wrapped their trapeze string around my neck, causing trickles of blood to run down my neck, staining the white on my outfit.

"Oh my, put up a good fight. But it's over now." Joker crouched down to look at my face, he had a lost look in his eye as he pulled out a dagger, almost as big as my combat knife. With all of them standing in silence, including Jumbo, who had waited to the last moment, incase I beat the first round of them trying to kill me.

Using their silence as a form of their guard being down. I jumped up and ran, fast and as far as my feet could take me. As I continued running, I could hear the footsteps behind me fading. As of they know they can't keep up for much longer. I run for about another five minutes to make sure the distance is a wide gap.

Looking at my surroundings, I found myself in London. Where the capital of the corporation is. My family being the founder of it all, might put some mercy on me, as I've been found out by the case suspects. And when that happens, the assassin gets killed, to make sure the business isn't put into the danger of being discovered.

Lil' on the short side but it's get there. This ISN'T my first fanfic so if it's bad I'm just bad at writing. But, let's hope this book and can get better 🙏🏻🙏🏻
