Chapter 1

Dylan's POV

I wake up to screaming and yelling. Probably my mother and her boyfriend. I get up and changed into a pair of black jeans a long sleeve red shirt and a black zip up. I put my hair into a high pony tail and quickly put on a small amount of makeup. I go to the bathroom and brush my teeth.

"Dylan get the hell down here now. You have to walk your brother and sister to school!" My mother yelled. I am the 3 child out of 7. Having 4 younger siblings sucks.

"Ok mom be right down." I say. I grab my marbled converse on and run down stairs.

"Logan come here." I grab him and put him on a chair. I start to feed him until Thomas stole the plate from my hands. "You idiot!" I say loudly.

In 15 minuets I grab my backpack and swing it on my back. "Carly and Kevin! Come on we have to get to school." I head loud running and I know that it's them. The take their lunches from my mother.

As I am walking the kids to school I feel and tap on my shoulder. I turn around to see Lea. "Hey babe." I say and put my arm around her waist. Her little sister Reliy runs up to Carly and started to talk about cooties and other crap.

"So, let me guess mom made you walk them to school again and made you take care of the baby again?" She questioned. I nodded and sighed. She could tell because I had scratches on my arm and dark circles under my eyes.

We talk until we got to the elementary school. "Bye Reily. Bye Kevin and Carly!" I say as we walk off. The only person who turns around was Reily and she waved.

Lea was playing with her hair, I put my finger under her chin and kissed her. Lea pulled out and thanked me. Once we got to school I let go of her hand. People have beaten up Lea and I a bunch because I am trans and lesbian. But Lea has gotten most of the hate. She wasn't here last year for a very long time because the mouth breathers of the school beat her up really badly. And I feel so bad.

"Leeeeeeea!" Tyler screamed and ran up to us. "Oh, and hello to you to Dylan." I say scarcasticly. He laughed and we walk to where our other friends were talking.

We talk for about 10 minuets until the final bell rang. Me, Tyler and Izzy walked to math. I saw Lea turn away and I got sad. Tyler saw me and hugged me. "She will be okay. Don't think anything bad. She will be fine." Tyler said to reassure me.

I plowed through my math work and just as I wished for the bell rang and ran to Lea's locker. Once I saw her walking down the hall with Sami (another friend) I felt calmer.

"Dylan!" I hear Lea scream. She ran up to he and started to talk about random stuff. Even though we haven't talked in only 80 minuets, she has a million things to say.

As the day went by, class by class the end of the day grew nearer. Once it was time to leave school I ran outside and waited with Izzy for Sami, Lea and Tyler.

They all came out soon and we started to walk home. Me and Lea lives much father away from me. And it's shows because she lives in a much nicer house then mine.

"Bye Dylan! Bye Lea!" Izzy said running down her street. Sami and Tyler were already home so it was just me and Lea.

"Hey, babe. So what's up?" Lea asked me. "Oh, nothing new." I said shrugging. "Well, there is one thing. I saw my dad yesterday. He wants me to move in with him. In California." I said. She stoped in her tracks. I could tell tears were forming. "But- buh- You can't leave!" She said with her last breath. "I am not gonna. Never ever will I leave you." She started to walk again with her head on my shoulder. We didn't talk for the rest of the walk to her house. She started to cry though, I just held onto her tighter.
